Barkleys Pure Liquorice Pellets, 16 g (Pack of 1)

Really good natural liquorice flavour, slightly sweet and no bitterness. Not as intense as I expected, just the same liquorice flavour I remember from my childhood but without the awful excess of sugar. I can easily manage 2 or 3 at a time but mindful that large amounts are not recommended try to stick to just one. Really tiny so even though small tin it is lasting really well, so overall very good value too.

Saw these and realised they looked just like the "Imps" we used to get in tiny tins as kids. Used to love those, so had to give this product a try. Bigger tin than Imps and although 6grams doesn't sound like much there are lots of "pellets" in the tin. No I haven't counted them, but lots. Taste just as I remember Imps. Have to say they are probably an aquired taste. They are not sweets, you don't scoff them by the handful. Proper liquorice extract based and quite bitter for that, but that's what I love. Pop one on your tongue and just let it dissolve. Wonderful, and I find two or three a day ample. So glad I found these. I will be getting more.

I love liquorice at any time, but I was after pure liquorice to help with my GERD. I don't know if this will do it. Time will tell. The flavour is all consuming. Don't have one before food or a cup of tea unless you enjoy everything tasting oddly sweet and killing the flavour of everything else. The flavour lingers for quite a while and distorts the flavours of anything you consume afterwards. That said, given the price that's good because they'll last a good while. If you're after a traditional candy/sweet style liquorice with a 'regular' sweet liquorice flavour this won't do it for you. These are tiny little pure licuorice pellets. But otherwise it's a good and strong flavour and also has the added benefit of supressing hunger pangs I've noticed...which may or may not be of use to you.

Taste is perfect, I eat 4 or 5 at once in evening Taste is bang on.next day perfect toilet condition. At moment I have 5 full tins but they will disappear as family's call. R WEBSTER VMR.

These are a required Taste, not really what I was expecting, I think these are the same as what I bought a lot of years ago and they were called Imps, they are tiny, you will have to try them even if it’s just for the experience, good value for your money

Intense taste just what I wanted

As other reviewers have said, these are exactly the same as 'imps'. I love them and their wee tin. I purchased a few tins to have around the house and carry with me. I also bought a couple for a friend as liquorice is supposed to help with hot flushes/flashes! Certainly the shock your brain gets when one of these pellets hits your tongue could well be enough to divert your brain from anything else that's going on, ha ha ha.

These are probably lovely, hang on I will taste them now, mmm lovely tasting for the three seconds it lasts. If I bit my nails the slithers would be bigger. They are distinct in taste, a tad tart, but not offensively so. They do refresh your mouth after consumption. I do however think if I was trying to get one sweet out, if I was not sat down comfortably, it may result in my losing more than I got to eat. Good effort for reducing costs by reducing bulk. I am sure they would be just the right size for Alice after her red pill. Possibly not the best value for money, but the tin is nice and it's made me giggle, which is always welcome.

These are definitely the other type of licorice flavor, i.e. the flavor is not totally similar to Barkleys licorice pastilles, which are more like Brach's jelly beans in taste. These are on the verge of being almost, almost bitter, but they're not quite. I'd say, sure, it's "pure" licorice flavor. These last a while in your mouth, so there's plenty of enjoyment to be had in this small tin.

This is awesome licorice!! One tiny pellet and the flavour is great! Vegan, GF, my dream candy. I will for sure buy again. Don’t underestimate the size of the box, it last a long time !!!

A very specific and very particular treat for those who know it. For those are not expecting it...lol. I think this photo should help clear things up for a lot of people.

I used to love these type of licorice candy. It's very good if you wanna quit smoking or just to have that nice black licorice taste in your mouth. These however do not taste anything like licorice at all. The best way I can come up with explaining what it tastes like is something burnt beyond recognition and all you taste is the burn.

Strong, a bit bitter, menthol but not sweet licorice taste. Seems to be a popular flavour for British folks. Not really what I was looking for but a quality product and well packaged.
