AVOID THIS EXPENSIVE POC
Total piece of expensive garbage. Leaks from screws holding base to tank. Manufacturer is a joke In trying to get some help and answers. I ended up taking the pump out of the sprayer and attaching it to a 2 1/2 gallon pail and making my own sprayer that didn’t leak. The manufacturer should be embarrassed selling this piece of junk. Amazon should be embarrassed for letting them sell it here. Anybody with a positive, I call BS. The sprayer is truly a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money on it. You’re going to regret it. The company recognizes there’s a defect and all they wanna do is send you another one to replace it. Basically replacing a defective unit with a new defective unit. The Hudson sprayer sucks. You’re going to regret owning it and using it it’s going to leak your product all over the place. I ended up leaving the trail of weed killer through my lawn because of the manufacturer defect. Contact me if you want to see the setup I made to replace this hunk of crap sprayer. I used a snap in battery I place of the heavy battery they install(also crap). The setup I made to replace it cost 3 times less than this entire piece of garbage costs. I have nothing to gain posting this but warn others not to purchase it and avoid it at all costs. It’s way expensive and the quality is less than China manufacturing. If it’s made in America, I’m not sure what American there referring too. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. TOTAL AND I MEAN TOTAL JUNK

Long battery, worked great
The battery is supposed to last for 30 gallons. It has lasted much longer than that. The battery also turns off when not spraying. The wand has plenty of hose and is long enough. There are several attachments, so you can pick about any spray you want. The spray volume is just about right for good coverage without having to wait for it or rush through it. this helped make sure I have covered the entire weed without wasting herbicide. The top opening is large enough to fill without a problem and has a screen to help keep debris out of the tank. The only complaint I have is that the 5 gallon capacity is too close to the top, which means you have to fill it slower to avoid suds from limiting the volume or spilling out. The wand has a 'lock' setting, so you don't have to keep pressing, which helps avoid hand fatigue. I have run about 40 gallons through it so far with no problems and the battery still shows full. Using this made spraying weeds so much easier and faster that I would not want to go back to anything else. Obviously, this is for large areas that required 10's of gallons for coverage.

Great Quality Backpack Sprayer
I bought this HUDSON 19001 4-gallon water backpack for my carpet cleaning business and I love it! It sprays perfectly, holds plenty of water, and is very reliable for my jobs. Comfortable to carry and easy to use—definitely a great investment for professionals.

Poorly designed and dangerous!
This sprayer worked great the first three or four times. Bought 12/22 was kept in a shed, never damaged. Yesterday I sprayed for an hour and noticed my back and legs were wet with the glysophate mixture I was spraying. The leak is at the seam between the two halves of the reservoir (between the black part and the yellow part). The top straps are attached to the top half which exacerbates the problem. This could be serious depending on which chemical a person was spraying. I had to immediately stop and shower and change clothes. I am now trying to seal up the seam with RTV. This unit is advertised as a professional tool and is high priced. Warning: if you use this sprayer you could be soaked with chemicals that could harm you! I have warned the company. Making this a two star review only because one star reviews don’t seem to get published.

Fantastic Sprayer
Very impressed with this sprayer so far. I have used it a couple of times this summer for spraying herbicide on my lawn. The battery time is exceptional. I used it on my yard and the neighbors yard which was quite a bit bigger than my yard, but in all was about 4 hours of spraying. It still had quite a bit of charge left so I would venture to say that it would have lasted a couple more hours based on the charge indicator level. The straps, once you get them adjusted to your personal fit, make it so it isn't so heavy on your back. I wish there was some padding on the back of the unit, as it is hard plastic right against your back, but its not terribly uncomfortable. It is very quiet. The power button is at an easy to reach place. The battery and charger are very easy to use and insert into the sprayer. It feels to be a very solid, well built unit and has meet every expectation for the money I spent on it. Very happy so far.

Poor quality, does not work
I've used it once and have had it for less than 3 months and it does not work. I can't return it since it's been over a month, but thought I'd let everyone know not to purchase as this product breaks after one use. Very disappointed.

Works Great But Kind of Expensive
So far I've used this unit to spray 14 gallons of TZone SE on my lawn ivy. DIdn't even need to charge the battery, worked great out of the box. Oversize tank with huge opening makes it easy to quickly mix your products with plenty of room to deal with the annoying foam layer that you always get. Great high volume spray that is really a game changer if you have to spray a lot of product on a large area. My only complaint would be why is this made in China plastic tank with a simple electric pump so expensive? Should be about half the price. I'm guessing they could make it in Michigan and still be profitable at the price they are charging. All in all I'd say it was a good purchase. We'll have to see how the Chinese pump and battery hold up over time.
