Easy to install and passes signal fine. Will have to wait for a surge to know if it works.

These lightning surge protectors are solidly built, seem sturdy. I turned one apart, mostly wanted to see if it had a swivel nut on the end like a coax cable would have, so i would know which end to put on the device first. Anyway, no swivel nut, so I just made sure to assemble the surge protector to my device first, then hooked the cable to the surge protector (Cable has the swivel nut, if that doesn't make sense, try it and you'll see what I mean!) Anyway, when I took it apart, it does appear to have actual surge protector fuse looking thing inside. Not empty right? Short of actually getting struck by lightning yet, it seems to be working well. I live off grid in the desert, and lightning does get pretty close, so I bought 2 of these, will put one on each end of the cable, just to be sure. This is to protect my Weboost cell phone booster, so I have one installed now on the receiver itself, and will put the other one on the antenna. Anyway, if I do manage to get stuck by lightning, I don't expect I'd be able to post a follow up review. Thanks for reading!

Have this on my coax to modem, so far no loss in ping or dl/upl speeds.

I bought these back in the summer during lightning storm season in FL. In November, we had a strong storm line come through and produced strong lightning. one of the bolts hit the utility pole and badly damaged equipment on the pole. So badly the ISP had to come out twice repairing damaged equipment and cabling, and a third visit is slated for issues further up the line. This suppressor, single handedly, prevented my modem from going up in smoke with it. Definitely recommend if you have anything that operates on standard coaxial connections, be it ISP or TV.
