Definitely needed some time and explaining on my part, but the code blocks do a nice job of allowing the code to run or be modified without needing to write it out, so it is accessible to younger ages.The instructions were a bit hard to understand at time, but overall not bad. There were many pictures to accompany which was very helpful.Overall, would recommend! I wish I had this before first learning how to code. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Educational fun kit *by M***S on September 12, 2020* I am impressed with the kit because it offers a relatively simple programming environment for a semi technical dad and a 6 year old daughter.Kid perspective:She tells me that "it is fun and teaches you stuff." Her favorite projects are the rainbow LED, dice game and unsocial boy. She didn't like the incorrectly labeled picture on one project and sometimes difficult process of finding the programming objects.Parent perspective:I like drag and drop graphical programming environment. It was easy enough for her to program on her own. I did have to sit next to her to help her find the objects often nested within menus. The documentation is limited so it does require a parent to figure things out as you go through the project and to explain the purpose of the sensors and how the program works but I think that it will be the case for many STEAM project kits. I wish that the documentation was better and explained how to download the program via bluetooth. (Hold A & B and then press the reset button EVERY time you download). Highly recommend the kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best electronic kit ever!! *by R***R on October 30, 2020* Best all encompassing kit I’ve ever had. Variety of components for many projects! Easy programming using Sketch. Can be used with Raspberry Pi, CrowPi and microcontrollers like Arduino. Geared towards kids and learning but can be used for many advanced projects and applications. Elecrow has the right idea in taking a great computing platform, i.e. Raspberry Pi, to the next level with all in one packages and accessories like CrowPi which I also rated 5 stars!
