Depends on the cat. My cats are picky. They like the juice, but turn their nose up at the meat, even though it’s REAL meat. It’s definitely worth trying.

I have a senior cat that needed more hydration in his diet. His caloric intake is divided between half from wet food, half from dry. He is very picky, so adding water to his food is a no-go, and keeping him on strictly wet food is also a no-go. Most things you could think of, I have tried it. I have 6 water bowls in the house, and 2 water fountains; he is just not big into drinking on his own. It came to a point where the vet suggested tuna or fish broth to entice him, OR if that failed, then weekly subq fluids. I decided to try this product out on a whim to see if I could get him to drink more. I do not even bother feeding him the tuna (PLEASE NOTE: the product as-is is NOT nutritionally complete), I just drain a packet into a container, and add 2 oz of bottled water extra to the broth. I now give him about 12 Tablespoons of this brothy water a day, which is roughly 3/4ths cup of hydration per day in addition to his wet food. I'd prefer it if he just drank water himself, but hey, whatever works. Cats will be cats. That said, my finicky cat really loves the broth in this product, and it does keep him hydrated. My other senior enjoys a Tablespoon here and there as a treat, but it's too expensive with the way I am using it and that one at least knows how to drink water on his own.

So, picture this: my cat, born in the chaos of a COVID lockdown at my husband's friend's house (think three kids, easy-going parents, total mayhem), came to live with us. He's an absolute delight—energetic, simple, funny—basically, the perfect cat. But for the first three months, he only drank water straight from the faucet, delivered via my hand. Adorable, right? Until he decided, one day, to stop drinking water. At all. Cue the panic. I tried every trick in the book. Watched videos, read articles, bought six different water systems. Amazon's cat hydration department owes its profits to me. Nothing worked. My cat, stubborn as a mule, refused to drink. The inevitable happened: struvite crystals. I became a full-time pH checker, syringe-wielding water enforcer, and occasional medicator. I had to push water into his mouth with a syringe. (Yes, I was that desperate.) Following the vet's advice, I stuck to wet food, sneaking in extra water. Of course, my cat caught on and gave me the "No way, human" look. Even his "treat" was reduced to a spoonful of Hill's CD dry food. I kept experimenting with different cat foods, hoping to find one with more liquid. For two years, my cat sniffed, turned up his nose, and walked away. Enter my sister, talking about her dog's love for vegetable broth (pre-salt, obviously). Broth! Why didn't I think of that? Off to the local store I went, where a kind staff member guided me to a tiny, hidden section in the vast cat food aisle. There it was: Nulo. Whatever that meant, I was willing to try. I bought every variety they had and then some from Amazon. Six kinds. One try a day. On day one, he licked "Tuna & Salmon." Hope! By day four, miracle of miracles, he started drinking "Yellow Tuna & Shrimps." Spoiled? Absolutely. But finally, he was drinking! Fast forward to today: my cat is now a healthy 4-year-old. His pH strips are consistently a healthy yellow (knock on wood), he poops regularly, and his coat is silky smooth. On the outside, he's still my same simple, funny cat, but I know he feels better inside. Thank you, Nulo, for ending my hydration nightmare and making my cat's life (and mine) so much better! 🐾

My picky cat loves this flavor. Was tired of having to search for new brand and flavors for her to try. Been feeding her this for about 6 months now, between kibble feeding, and she still comes running for it

My cat loves it. She's VERY picky, and I went through several brands trying to find one that she would eat. Finally, a friend suggested Nulo, and happily, it did the trick!

There was a good portion size, but besides looking incredibly unattractive ( won’t say what) it’s so soupy with one lump of tuna. Not impressed.
