100 Grams of Portobello Mushroom Spawn Mycelium to Grow Gourmet Mushrooms at Home or commercially - G1 or G2 Spawn

Product was delivered on time. Grain was well populated, healthy and took off right away. I would definitely recommend this product.

I purchased the Portobello Mushroom Spawn Mycelium and the Mushroom Substrate| Premium Manure, Vermiculite, Coco Coir & Gypsum | 0.2 Micron Filter Mushroom Grow Bag from Amazon. I purchased a sterile sealable tube and drilled 1.5 inch holes then shoved polyfill in those holes(6) after I wiped the entire container down with rubbing alcohol. Added the bag cut open and spawn using rubber gloves I lightly mixed the spawn near the surface. After a couple weeks the mold looking surface started but soon stop growing. That is where I am now and it has been 5.5 weeks and no sign of a mushroom even starting to grow on surface. Lightly misted the surface three times a day with distilled water and resealed the container. Not good results so far, I would steer clear of ordering this product with such poor instructions. 73 to 75 degree climate and a small humidifier as well.

The first time I ordered this product I accidentally killed the mycelium. Then when I ordered more the mycelium never took off and grew like it should. So unless you know how to grow mycelium or just get lucky I wouldn't say it's easy to use. Also it does not come with instructions at all as it says it does. It does however give you a piece of paper telling you to go to their website. Which also doesn't give you detailed instructions on how to grow the mushrooms. It does tell you how to grow the mushrooms in a compost pile outdoors but not how to grow it inside in a controlled environment. All that being said I would not skip this product over, it may take a bit of tweaking to get it to work but price wise you can't beat this product.

I ordered this product. However I cannot rate it yet. I need 4 more weeks to have an opinion.

Spawn wasn't fully colonized but has a lot of mycelia. The mycelium is growing in the bag. I would buy again

I am very happy with the grain spawn I received. I used it to inoculate a 1 quart grain spawn jar (white wheat and gypsum hydrated with tap water). I had significant mycelial growth in less than 48 hours. I also put a couple mycelium covered berries on agar and had visible clean growth in 24 hours. I’m very pleased and highly recommend.

Mushrooms never grew. Waste of time.
