Bought this as the previous remote was just too frustrating to use and the gaming control isn’t really practical. It exceeded my expectations, easy to pair to my old nvidia shield , love the backlighting and the extra (on/off) and Netflix buttons. My 4 year old already knows how to use it. Bought a cover just to protect it.

the Seller IndieJeannie replaced a defective remote immediately the next day. The new remote works like a charm, very responsive......the buttons lite up, love it.,...I'm still not sure about the shape......wish the volume buttons were a little higher on the control....all in all I'm happy with this remote.

What in the hell is wrong with this vendor trying to sell this remote for $79.99? The actual cost is $29.99. You are better off buying on the Nvidia Shield site. It a crime for someone to charge 2 and 1/2 times more than an item is worth. There is no reason for this remote to cost almost 80 dollars. The remote is a good product. There is the troublesome Netflix button that you will accidentally hit on occasion but other than that it is a nice remote.

I had the old Remote that came with my Shield 2017 and this remote is a replacement to my old remote. The remote working out of the box, and is better than my old remote.

The good news the new comes with a button in the back to facilitate opening for batteries. I gave a bad review because I didn't read just push the center button...jajajajajjajaj. Sorry this thing is great.

Got sick of the 2017 Nvidia Shield remote not working sometimes, the volume lagging constantly, size, etc. So, here we are, using Amazon to avoid insane shipping costs and customs fees. It works fine and was super easily paired with the 2017 Nvidia Shield. The backlight is actually useful until you get to know the remote and is adjustable to a number of custom settings with all buttons being extremely responsive, as they should be. I haven’t tested the pager or voice control because I don’t plan on using them and trust that they’re functional. It has a good, solid grip, is slightly larger, and comes with batteries, AA x 2. This will be cheaper than the watch batteries in the long run. You may need to YouTube how to slide it open, and how to pair/unpair, but it works great. I’m not disappointed, and an in fact glad to have avoided paying an exorbitant amount as though through the home webpage.

Decided to buy the n Idoia shield remote rather than a copy, and it was so easy to set up. Worth paying the extra for the branded remote.

This new remote which comes with the current shield as standard is fully backward compatible with the previous version. Why I bought it: There are volume buttons, no more of the violent remote rub to change the volume. (sometimes I was sure a genie was going to appear before the volume changed.) dedicated play forward back buttons and the "hear angels sing" moment.... The find my remote function!! Log on to the shield app on your phone and click "Find my remote"... Worth the buying price just for that. Is it perfect? No but it surpasses the mediocre making it to the Good remote level. My recommendation is buy it if you dont mind the steep price. I feel it is worth it.
