Thor Instruments Co. Medieval Spartan Helmet King Leonidas 300 Movie Helmet Replica - Role Play Helm

This Spartan (Greek Corinthian) helmet arrived as described and pictured. It is a replica of the helmet worn by Leonidas in The 300, including the black “hair” crest and pony tale. You have to install the crest/tale, but that was very easy. Mine arrived lightly oiled with excess easily removed by a paper towel. It does have some “dimples” to add authenticity. It has a liner and can be worn, and when adjusted properly, allow a fair amount of physical activity. This design makes breathing easier than many other full head helmets. The thickness is as described which allows you to adjust the cheek pieces enough to provide the amount of front opening you desire and insure symmetry. Overall, very happy with the helmet. I’ve used it with middle school history students to add a bit of realism to the curriculum and explain how variations spread throughout the Mediterranean world with Greek colonization. It looks good as a decoration in my family room also.

I bought this helmet for my 7-year old grandson who loves Sparta and ancient Greek military history. The helmet is well made out of steel that has been colored to appear like bronze. It has been "aged" with spots of discoloration as well as with a few lights dents. It came with an adjustable leather liner and chin strap, and an impressive crest and tail made of synthetic hair.While it's too heavy for him to wear for very long, he loves to put it on his head and pretend that he is King Leonidas! I have to say that it's a lot of helmet for $50. While it's not really a toy for a child, it would look great in a more serious setting, like on a stand in a library, an office or a family room.

I bought this for a Halloween costume. The craftsmanship is pretty good, but there is very little padding inside the helmet. The hair was coming loose when i was putting it into the groove in the top of the helmet. More glue or adhesive product is probably going to be needed.

Sharp! The edges are very sharp and will cut you. Poor craftsmanship. It will not fit your head without cutting into you. I’m serious. There is no possible way a man can wear this comfortably without bleeding. The bend of the nose if off center. Someone left a thumbprint on the forehead when the spray paint was wet. This is completely spray painted and then covered in oil. The worst packaging on delivery, tape wasn’t even stuck to the box. The hair is falling out and stuck to a cardboard insert that falls out.Do not buy. You will be injured and regretful if you do.

It came in on time and well packaged, my only complaints are that it's color is more like a yellowy gold spray paint (it smelled heavily of spray paint) and one of the eye slits seems a bit higher than the other. Overall though pretty good.

So when it came it only came with the helmet and not the feather/quills part I was thinking it was gana get sent a bit later but it's been a few days now but still nothing 😭

I'm giving it to my bro. It looks pretty cool, kinda has a battle worn look and even has inside padding and a strap to wear it. I recommend adding a bit of additional padding towards the forehead but it's not a bad fit. However, I think he will probably only use it for display purposes except during the renaissance fair maybe? Idk I dont go to those things. Anyways, good buy fair price I recommend

For the price, it admittedly looked amazing in photos. But it is huge, unlined, and pretty poorly crafted when you look at it in person. Also, it isn't any where near as shiny and golden as the picture.
