Grown Alchemist :: Anti-Pollution Primer (50ml / 1.69oz)

My favorite primer! Feels and smells clean on skin, lasts all day, makes a noticeable difference in makeup application and come with a ton of product.

I feel like I've tried all the primers and, for what its worth, I've always gone back to my old trusty standby: Monstat Anti-Chaffing gel powder. For $6 you can't beat it. This primer however is an all together different creature. I tried this because its silicone free, and I've always thought it might behoove me to find a silicone free option for a variety of reasons, but I've never been impressed by one. This however is impressive!This glides on and it is cold feeling, which is strangely soothing and calming to the skin. It's a thick gel that glides across the skin with almost as much slip as a silicone, though not quite. I do have to use a tad bit more of this product to cover my face. I wash my hands and then apply my foundation, typically a sheer/medium or medium coverage liquid, but sometimes a powder version. This primer works well with every foundation I've tried it on. It gives them all a great amount of slip and hold at the same time; they blend well and they stay in place all day.This does not fill in pores and wrinkles as well as a thick silicone, but it comes very close. More important to me however is that my skin has been less congested, and had fewer issues with dryness and redness, since I switched to this a few months ago. I'm very pleased at the improvement I've seen in my 40+ year old skin. So pleased, in fact, that I've already purchased another tube of this as I simply do not want to be without it. I feel very confident that anyone would be happy with this, even at this price point!

Three things I love about this primer:- It is made from natural & sustainable ingredients.- One tube will last for months!- The primer feels silky smooth going on and has a refreshing cooling effect.Something to consider: If you apply too much or apply to dry skin, it can leave white residue marks. Make sure to blend!

Product arrived in slightly worn packaging and without protective hygienic foil seal, meaning it has been been open and exposed to oxidization and bacteria (and nobody knows for how long). I have requested a replacement and sent the original delivered package back via UPS. Today 12/10/2022, I have received replacement and it has the same problem. Product box (not shipping box, but product itself) has slightly torn corner and tube is missing protective foil seal (that I had when I purchased the same primer from the store. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and I believe purchasing for full price from manufacturer is the best way to go.Regarding the primer - I have had it before and I love it, the product itself is amazing (thus repurchasing). <3 Lot's of love for Grown Alchemist!

I love Grown Alchemist and use many of their products regularly in my rotation (lotions, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, eye cream, face cream), but this is my least favorite of their products of the many that I've tried...I like that it comes in a generous size for a primer. I like how it feels going on and that it sets quickly without feeling sticky. My skin feels nice once it's on and it does help provide a smooth base for makeup. But compared to my usual primer, my face wasn't as smooth and it did nothing to blur my pores - which is something that's important to me in a primer.When I first tried it, I must have used too much because it "pilled" on my skin when I applied my foundation. I've used less since then without the pilling - so a little goes a long way and you can use this sparingly. I do think it helps my makeup last longer and wear better (as a primer should), but since a pore-minimizing effect is also important to me, this isn't one that I'd choose again.

I have not tried many things from the Grown Alchemist line, and I personally do not use a primer often but I was excited to try it out. The first one that I had requested ended up being hard as a rock, and exploded inside the cap. But I received a replacement & I was pretty impressed when I tried it out. It really smoothed out my problem areas & gave me a nice flat surface to work with. My make up goes on over it nicely, and I enjoy wearing it without make up, as well. This is one of the better primers that I have used, and I’d recommend it to anybody.

I tried this as a sample in my IPSY box. After one application I was hooked!! I baught a larger tube and it just makes my skin feel hydrated,smooth and silky! Highly recommend especially for older individuals. I am 54 and it really makes a difference in my appearance.

Solid base for my makeup or even just out and about! Very smooth, lasts forever (both in wear and the tube), and easy/quick to apply.
