Fits well and works well.
Everything seems to be alright with the fit and utility. I've had it on the truck for a couple months and have had no issues with it.

Using mid sized on full size truck
I have a GMC Sierra 2500 and purchased the mid sized version instead of the full sized. The reason I did this is because I have side boxes that take up some space. I can fit 3 bikes comfortably. The mid sized version will not cover to the very bottom of the tailgate it leaves about 5” open but the tire touches much higher so the extra material is kind of unnecessary.

Works as advertise
I was worried about the tailgate lip, so I didn't get a padded tailgate pad. This one fits the 2016 Frontier perfectly. Putting it on is a little challenging, but the more times I use it, the easier it should become.

Works great but straps will mar your paint
I don’t know what I expected but the straps will mar the paint at the points where they come into contact with the tailgate. Otherwise it’s worked great on my F150 with adult and child bikes.

I Recommend
I like this way more than the trailer hitch bike rack (which I will keep for when my truck bed is full). So easy to install I never feel inclined to leave it on out of laziness. On and off in seconds and holds the bikes perfectly.

Not suutable for a full size truck .
Several things are wrong with this pad.1. Too small for a full size truck tailgate.2. Too narrow at top for a newer style tailgate which are about 6" wide. This probably would work on an older style truck tailgate . Basically narrower top.3. Straps too short for an Ebike or a bike with a fat frame .4. Latch cover has no fastener to hold it rolled up / open position. So if the truck is equipped with a backup camera , it would be constantly covered.5. Inner lining a bit rough ( not smooth enough) for paint protection.
