Tough 1 Contour 3/4in Felt Barrel Saddle Pad

It’s my favorite saddle pad in the barn. good quality.

My horse and I have enjoyed this pad for many dozens of trail rides. It's not the highest quality in the world, but for this price, can't expect that. It's still a really good pad. And sure, the wear leathers are showing some, well, wear... and that's to be expected. The wear is mostly under (and hidden by) the cinch.The 3/4 wool felt is very decent and seems to disperse heat nicely. The pad softened and shaped to my boy's (very high) withers and back really well and it doesn't slip around on him.There's also a more square-cut version of this pad that we bought first, but this one fits so perfectly with my round-skirt saddle that I sold that one and got this. So I'm a repeat buyer.If your saddle time involves heavier pressure or shock or hard-core/all-day rides, you'll want a thicker pad than this one — but I'm very pleased with this for laid-back trail riding.

This came and it is gray not black which is fine with me! The quality is way better than I expected! I haven’t tried it on my horse yet but it is exactly like the other brand pads I have.

The felt is fine quality but the "leather" guards wore away after less than a month and the stitching is already coming apart.
