German Engineering & Quality with a FIVE Year Warranty.
I have experience with many other brands of oscillating sprinklers but never a Gardena. I live in the Central Valley of California where the summers are usually between 95 degrees and 115 degrees during the summer. Needless to say, sprinklers are very important. Besides water evaporation, the sun and heat rapidly degrade plastics. Most lawn equipment are made of plastics. Even the well known brand names of lawn equipment usually don't last longer than 3 years before the plastic becomes brittle and degrades to the point of cracking and breaking, especially anything that move like dials, knobs and levers. Looking for something better, I did a little research on Gardena products and I noticed the mention of the plastics being frost and UV resistant! After further investigation I discover that Gardena Aquazoom sprinklers also have a FIVE year warranty! (You won't find this warranty info in the Amazon ad, so I enclosed a pic of the info on the box.) So I purchased an Aquazoom oscillating sprinkler and can say that it is, indeed, a noticeable step up in quality and precision. All the controls work very smoothly and the variability of the watering patterns is very precise. And after two summers, the plastic has not even started to fade. And the cost is comparable to the other brand name lawn equipment companies. So when you include price, quality German-engineering and a 5 year warranty, the value is outstanding.

I need to up my water pressure
The sprinkler looks, works and is built great -- I like that the oscillating barrel part is straight across and supported with two Stainless rods that run end to end -- there is only a quick connect option (included) I don't believe that you can just screw your hose on to it -- the ones I had years ago were in an arch -- this is supposed to cover 55' max width -- with my water pressure ( 50 PSI) it only covers 35' width (I need 50') and 25' from center to reversing which is perfect for my small yard -- this has everything I would engineer into it -- the tube moves quickly -- not quite enough time to run in and change a setting without getting wet -- I have it placed in front of my shrubs at the front of my house pointed to the street -- neither line is straight so some compromising happened -- I buried these in some 2"~3" River Rock with just the top peaking out making sure none of the rocks could touch the barrel -- it runs smoothly and quietly -- I had two round sprinklers that could be adjusted to hit odd angles (they had 15 separate adjustments and are not available anymore) -- they worked great mechanically but did not water evenly -- I got tired of trying to use round sprinklers to water a rectangular area -- originally I was trying to avoid this type of sprinkler that shoots water in the air and gets blown by the wind but now I believe that if I water early there isn't as much wind -- I have two, one in front and one in the back that are on a timer set to water at 5:30 AM -- the color blends into the shrubs and stones and can't be seen from the street -- I am really happy with this setup and hope that I have shared an idea that you haven't thought of -- no fusing with pop ups or broken pipes -- for under $175.00 all in I have a permanent above ground system that is worry free (no issues with the lawn mower) and maintenance free -- they can't be easily seen -- no one would suspect that this type of sprinkler would be hidden this way -- I wanted the larger one that isn't currently available but maybe I can get the coverage I need by increasing my water pressure

Beast Mode for a Sprinkler system.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: WORKHORSE of a Sprinkler!! Gets the job done faster. We have 3/4 an acre and this sprinkler throws better water droplets, and covers the full area of the sprinkler head. Love the quick connects, no water leakage. MUST BUY, you will have no regrets!!

Not a bad sprinkler...so far
Reviewing this after a few days of use. I've owned several Gardena sprinklers over the years that have lasted 2-4 seasons. None of these plastic sprinklers are built to last more than a few seasons of regular use and being stored outdoors. The most I ever got from a sprinkler was 5 seasons. This sprinkler is built a little differently than the previous one of this type I owned a few years ago. The controls are smoother and easier to use and seem a little higher quality. Time will tell. This unit has more control than others in that you can easily control the width of the spray and the water flow rate (= distance water throws) and the side to side dispersion. The controls are smooth and easy to use. At full open the coverage area seems pretty good but it's nowhere near the 3800 sq ft Gardena claims. My home water pressure is 40psi, so maybe at a higher water pressure it would come closer. I haven't used cups on the ground to measure but the water coverage seems pretty even. It sits solidly on the ground, even in taller grass. Not likely to tip over. All in all, not a bad sprinkler so far. I'll update this review when I have more to say about its longevity. At $70 it's 2-3x the price of other plastic sprinklers, but it has the ability to control the spray width that others lack, so you can use it in narrow applications.

The one you won't ever want to replace
I have tried a lot of sprinklers . There is no comparison to this one. It gets the job done. This is the very best one I ever use and owned. The other ones don't even come close to this one. I have a lot of fruit trees that I water on certain days. I was trying to get all of my fruit trees water that are certain ones that are in a angle while other ones are all lined up . When using the old crappy sprinklers they wouldn't even touch the ones that are in a angle. Therefore I would have to water them by hand with a 5 gallon bucket. But when I set up the Gardena Up the way it needed to flow to wet all my fruit trees well I was shocked and at the same time I was amazed. I'm not planning going back to the cheap crappy sprinklers again. I'm definitely sold on this Gardenia type. I'm very satisfier with this one.

German design, just great, you can adjust the spray nozzles with the 2 little levers that means you are adjusting the width of the spray pattern. Also the small valve on the sprinkler means you can adjust the water pressure and therefore height of the spray meaning you’re not running back and forwards to tap and sprinkler to get your optimum coverage. Feels better quality than the more expensive hose lock sprinklers I have bought in the past, also the plastic the hose lock sprinklers are made from seem to degrade and become brittle from sunlight UV as all 5 of them have broken in a similar place on the frame or the oscillating mechanism malfunctions leaving it useless. Looks like I will be getting more than one season out of the Gardena. A lot of thought has gone into this design, just great 👍

Super bra. Lätt att ställa in rätt strålbredd och smart att man kan reglera höjden på strålen direkt på spridaren.

Gardena used to have a model with a timer. I thought this one did also. A step in the wrong direction.
