Protect. Fibrous material beware of the Provoke w/Veff Serrations. The industry-changing Kinematic innovation meets time-tested Veff Serrations to create a new iteration on the original Provoke morphing karambit knife. Rope, seatbelts, and netting never had a chance. Around here, we think of Designer Joe Caswell as somewhat of a mad scientist. When we got an eyeful of the sketches that were to become the Provoke—designed in Newbury Park, California—we knew he was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world has ever seen. Modeled after a traditional karambit, the black oxide-finished hawkbill-style blade is forged of a premium D2 steel for high durability and excellent edge retention. As if it weren’t already powerful enough, it’s been given Veff Serrations for nearly unmatched slicing of rope and other fibrous materials. The opening mechanism is pulling the folder into the future whether it’s ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while you’ve got a firm grasp on the handle. It’s crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a world’s first—sitting almost completely flush with the handle and likewise activated with light thumb pressure. The Provoke w/Veff Serrations comes up strong when it’s called in for duty. How Kinematic WorksNudge the upper crossbar with your thumb—while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle—and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.Specifications:Blade Length: 2.41" (61.21 mm)Edge: Veff Serrations™Steel: D2Blade Finish: Titanium NitrideBlade Thickness: 0.21" (5.31 mm)Grind: ChiselClosed Length: 4.96" (125.98 mm)Open Length: 7.25" (184.15 mm)Weight: 5.9 oz (167.26g)Handle: 6061 T6 AluminumStyle: Folding Knife with Kinematic™ ## Features - Unique Innovation: Kinematic deploys the blade with push of the thumb - Superior Performance: D2 blade steel for excellent edge retention - Extremely Sharp: Veff Serrations provide superior cutting power of rope and straps - Strong And Lightweight: Aluminum handle combines strength with minimal weight - Unique Function: Flush mounted clip for secure carry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07YXQMX3R | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #121,955 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #487 in Pocket Knives & Folding Knives | | Blade Edge | Plain | | Blade Length | 2.41 inches | | Blade Material | Alloy Steel | | Blade Shape | Chisel | | Blade Type | Hawkbill | | Brand | CRKT | | Brand Name | CRKT | | Color | Serrated | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 2,076 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00794023404043 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Aluminum | | Included Components | Collectibles Knives & Blades Folding Blade | | Item Length | 7.25 inches | | Item Shape | Curved | | Item Type Name | Collectibles Knives & Blades Folding Blade | | Item Weight | 5.9 ounces | | Manufacturer | CRKT | | Model Name | Provoke® | | Model Number | 4040V | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 4040V | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Recommended Uses For Product | Hunting | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 2.4" | | Special Feature | Foldable | | Special Features | Foldable | | Style | Provoke Veff | | UPC | 794023404043 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Blade Material:** Alloy Steel - **Brand:** CRKT - **Color:** Serrated - **Handle Material:** Aluminum - **Included Components:** Collectibles Knives & Blades Folding Blade - **Model Name:** Provoke® - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Hunting - **Special Feature:** Foldable - **Style:** Provoke Veff ## Images ![Provoke EDC Folding Knife with Kinematic, Black, 4040V - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51R9evyiskL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - CRKT Hunting Folding Blade Karambit 2.41" D2 Black Tini Handle - CRKT Provoke Sheath Durable Thermoplastic Sheath: D4040 - CRKT Provoke Grivory --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/191059634-provoke-edc-folding-knife-with-kinematic-black-4040v](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/191059634-provoke-edc-folding-knife-with-kinematic-black-4040v) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
