Well Done RM Stator
I never write reviews, if fact this is the first one over years of patronage on Amazon. This piece of machinery is well made, well packaged and arrived so quickly so I could make the repair with minimal downtime. Nice machine marks. There is no hot score from a Lathe as one previous review states, it is the weld junction that was seaming the vertical Cylinder walls to the cast then machined plate at the bottom which holds the spindle. Well machined, nice clean passes with minimal tool marks and dropped right into the starter gearset and the engine with minimal fuss. Thank you.

Back of stator required polishing to fit into stater clutch properly.
My part required the rear portion to be polished in order to fit into the starter clutch properly. Fortunately I have access to equipment to accomplish it correctly.

Get one… before your OEM fails!
2007 Yamaha FZ1 - perfect fit, far better design than OEM, and about 1/3 the price! The magnets are inside the sealed can instead of glued to it, so they cannot fall apart like the originals. Get yours before the factory grenade goes off.

Great price. Works as advertised.
Bought this flywheel to replace my 2014 FZ1’s OEM flywheel. Installation took about 30 minutes. The RMSTATOR”s flywheel fits perfectly and put out 14.28 volts at idle, which is the exact specs required. This part is made in China thus costs about half of the OEM but does come with a 2 year warranty. RMSTATOR’s customer service was very responsive via email.

Great replacement part
Magnet seems to be built into the wall of the flywheel and is very durable. I used this part on my 2012 Yamaha fz8 and it worked perfectly. No problems solid part.

Bad boot gasket over time, now have oil leak
I noticed recently that my bike is leaking oil. It leaks out of the top by where the boot of where the cables are exposing out from the inside. I’m not sure if it warped over time or what the situation was for that but I noticed that it doesn’t fit snug as when it was first installed. It only has been a couple thousand miles since it was installed so its kind of upsetting. I only don’t give it 1 star because the stator is superior to the old oem one, but sad that now its leaking… :/ haven’t reached out to RMstator only because i am considering looking into a different brand, i did hear a lot of positive comments about this brand, but not a good experience from me. Maybe i just got the bad apple out of the bunch. If they reach out to me over this review it consider them again if they can explain the reason for this hiccup of a problem.

Piece of mind for the 04 - 08 Yamaha R1. This is a much better design than the OEM version.

Bought this to replace my OEM magneto and purchased a new gasket aswell. During the replacement, I removed the gear set on the old rotor to put on the new one. Could not get the gear set to seat all the way down nor sit flush the way it sat on the OEM rotor. Returned and will stick with OEM replacement.
