Excellent vest with lots of pockets. Will work out fine for an upcoming trip to Europe to keep phone, passport and other valuables safe and secure or close to the vest.

This made going through security at the airport easy, most everything they wanted out of the carry-on was already in my vest. It seemed a little expensive but after wearing it I wish I'd have gotten next one up with the big back pocket as well. It was also easy to wear on vacation. I'm almost a vest guy now.

I bought two vests from Scottevest - a Fireside fleece, and this 101 vest. I'm 5'11", 175 lbs, with a 35" waist. The recommended large fleece vest was a good fit - loose, but not too loose. The large 101 however fit like a tent. I ended up exchanging it for a medium, which is a much better fit for me. I had the chance to try on the RFID vest at a local store, and it fits more like this 101 vest. I actually ended up returning the vest I bought on Amazon. Scottevest offers various promotion codes, so it's usually worth buying on their website, as long as you don't need 2 day delivery. If you don't have a code, try Capital One (was Wikibuy). I had a code good for 25% off, but Capital One also had a code that was good for 20%. All that said, this is going to be a great travel vest. The RFID is probably better if you really plan to load your vest, but I'm mostly interested in safely carrying my basic travel documents and cards. I got the 101 because most of the other models seemed to have zipper issues. This 101 was the highest rated on Amazon, and I liked the idea of the cotton/poly exterior fabric. The zippers on the outside are large and work well. The two inside zippers also seem good, especially the bigger zipper on the inside left ID pocket. The zipper on the pad pocket is fine, but not quite as smooth. Since it is a cotton poly blend, I assumed the 101 would not be particularly waterproof, but I got caught in an unexpected shower, and the water beaded right up. An unexpected surprise.

Great product. Too small so I returned and purchased the lightweight one. I may get the regualr one also. Need XL for both. Good quality.

This is a well-made vest, and fit for its purpose -- but I can only recommend it with reservations (so I returned the one I bought). First, the "good news." The manufacturing quality is high, all the parts appear to be made of good materials, workmanship is excellent, and the vest runs true to size (at least for the large size that I bought). The less-good news comes next. SCOTTeVESTs are already somewhat problematic beasts. They've got many pockets, which is good. But if you actually use all those pockets, you wind up with a lumpy look that makes it obvious you're carrying stuff you're trying (or at least, wanting) to conceal. This model doubles down on that by featuring contrasting zippers -- they make it visually obvious where the external "concealment" pockets are. At least to me, this was even more obvious in person than in the listing's photographs. Given that the advertised purpose for these vests is to tuck away valuables, I can't recommend this model unless you'll wear it under a jacket or coat to provide actual concealment. The SCOTTeVEST Featherweight Vest is considerably more expensive, but much better at concealing valuables (again, so long as you don't get carried away with pocket filling).

A pocket for everything and lightweight

I bought the first vest using my regular size which is large. I am 5’-8” and 175 lbs with a 42” chest. The large fits nice, I will most likely use it for travel. So I also purchased the same vest in medium, which is very form-fitting and I will most likely use every day. It looks VERY SHARP, VERY MODERN. I am in South Florida where it is hot most of the time. The vest is AWESOME! I can wear it in the heat, and in the rain 🌧️. There is a hidden feature that they don’t tell you about, but I will! See my video for hidden secrets!

This has been a cracking purchase. I can fit my iPad (in its protective case) in the inside pocket and all the other essentials in the other pockets; it makes going through security a breeze as all I have to do is take it off, put in a tray and then pick it up after it has been processed. It makes things so much easier in what can be a stressful and trying situation; I thoroughly recommend this vest! The zips all look and feel heavy duty and the vest seems to be made from a soft yet hardwearing material, I'm very impressed.

Good purchase, lots of pockets

It just arrived and haven't had a chance to test it in the field as yet. But it's well made and much lighter to wear than I thought 😃👍
