They are sturdy, and the material is strong. The cups are lightly padded, with a slight push up from the bottom. The issue is with the webbing that makes up the straps and the back of the bra. It is itchy. None of the ones I have worn so far are any different, and they make my skin itch. The cups are the correct size. There is no gapping at the top, but there is a gap on the cleavage site of the cups, low into the 'V.'
