No unnecessary joke attempts.You can tell that the author has a great deal of experience both on the matter and how to explain it.I used to manage my projects intuitively and knew there was a better to do it, simply and efficiently.This book provides just that.The summaries and the "exam essentials" at the end of each chapter are very useful. The chapters are in an order that builds upon the last so you're always learning new things while progressing your knowledge of what you learned in the previous chapter.As is the case with most of these certification books, I feel like there could have been more accurate and detailed sample questions. The difference between the questions in this book and on the actual exam differ quite a bit. For example, the exam will present a very specific scenario instead of asking general questions like the book. I can't complain too much because, in the end, the book helped me achieve my certification. The book is fairly short and I was able to read, study, and pass the exam within a week or receiving the book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Exam passable with this book alone. *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2016* I passed the exam and felt ecstatic. All 10 chapters were touched upon in the book, but I swear 1/3 was on Quality Control. The formulas were a big deal from Chapter 9. Right before the exam I finished a Master's class: IT Project Management and the college textbook was more exciting to read, which tells you something. I didn't even read chapter 10 until after taking the exam. I passed the exam based on the same concepts covered in my online class, but it's totally doable with this book alone. 90 mins for 100 questions and I started reading into questions too much and taking my sweet-a$$ time analyzing and then found myself running 500 miles an hour half way in. Please don't do that.The book is an easy read but they try to make science out of common sense stuff. Analogy: the orange sphere with bouncing properties thrown into a suspended net on a playing court is a game played by humanoids where the objective calls for precision in time and space. This competitive game is called basketball. I'm like...really?! I kept thinking how the author recently quit his job as a nuclear physicist and decided to write a book on project management.
