Crash Landing On You (Korean Drama, English Sub, All Region DVD)

An excellent Korean drama. Good story line. You will love the good guys and hate the bad guys. Good English sub-titles.

More than 5 Stars for this K-drama! First, though, the quality of the dvd wasn't ideal. The picture at the beginning of the first dvd has a smeary look to it, but the quality improved...wasn't bad enough to send it back. Also, the English subtitles turn off if you fast forward to another chapter...you have to keep resetting the choice for English. Subtitles are okay if you just keep watching straight through, only a problem if you skip ahead. Now, for the show itself. I stumbled across this show during COVID-19 but, for whatever crazy reason I found it, I am so glad I did! I have since watched other K-dramas, but this is still the best by far. Funny, romantic, exciting, sad...so many emotions. The two lead actors were made for these roles. I can't wait to see what they will do next. They are totally believable and authentic, besides being amazing at portraying their growing relationship. Dialogue is great, poignant, clever and funny. I'm looking for other shows by this screenwriter. The secondary characters are wonderful, especially the North Korean village women and the soldiers. It is a fascinating look at South and North Korean cultures. I'm repeating what others have said, and won't give anything away, but how about the last scene with Man Bok? What a sweet ending for him! I don't usually review items and hardly ever buy a dvd, especially an expensive set, but this show blew me away and will remain one of my all-time favorites.

I purchased this box set to gain access to the music CDs but I didn't watch the series previously so I binge watched all sixteen episodes over a couple of days. This is a beautiful story with beautiful music. I don't know how accurate the portrayal of life in North Korea is (I read 60%), but it paints a picture that we're all people, no matter our politics. We have something to learn from this ... we all have to learn to live and love together. My quibbles are: 1. There appear to be ads running in the videos 2. There weren't any supplemental materials. One of the nice things about a box set is they often (always) contain extra material (outtakes, deleted scenes, making of, etc.) Alas, nothing. However, it is a great story and well worth whatever I paid for it; I don't care.

This is probably my favorite Korean Drama Series. It has everything. Great Acting, great story, wonderful characters, intense drama, comedy, suspense, great background music, etc. If you don't at least tear up in the last 2 episodes, I would be surprised. Even my son, who loves action adventure films thought this was really good. They tell the stories of not just the main characters, but many of the minor characters too, which give such a rich background of the people and their lives. I will watch this one over and over.

This is a great drama depicting North and South Korea and the friendships and love that can occur between the two. The only issue is Disc 1 is unplayable on my DVD's. Hopefully this issue will be resolved as I would really like to own this drama. It is one of my favorites.

I saw this in 2020 and bought the DVD. This perfect combo of action, romance, intrigue, and bravery could be shown 20 years from now and still entertain. With a backdrop of North and South Korea, its twists and turns made me "and then what happens" binge watch. You ended up caring for all the characters caught in things beyond their control The writers captured universal themes that anyone can identify with. Kudos to all involved in Crash Landing on You. I loved it and am watching again.

I know the series is on DVDs not blu-rays but the video quality is terrible. Can't be any higher than 480p, I feel like watching a mediocre 90s movie on DVD again. Even my 2000s movie DVDs have far better quality and these are roughly 20 years older. The series itself is amazing and that's why I've wanted to have it for my movie collection but with a quality this low, it's more a disgrace than an addition. The subtitles are crisp and the English is grammatically correct from what I've seen so far but the episodes are literally screen-recorded from when they aired on Korean TV. The cutters could at least have cut the parts where the TV channel intro is played Furthermore, the DVDs are all stacked on top of one another without any protective layer between them which just reduces their lifespan. And since I've bought another K-drama from the same seller where the original price was still on it, I can assure you that the price here is probably 3 or 4 times higher. Another important information: I had to pay customs when the delivery arrived so yet another negative surprise. Oh and the synopsis on the back of fhe DVD box is also terrible. All in all, keep your hands off this and go watch this wonderful k-drama somewhere else. It isn't worth the price.
