Attractive but functionality not so much
1st impressions. 1. Its pretty light weight. Not what you might expect for camping purposes 2. Comes in a nice sheaf (appears to be some kind of nylon weave) and carrying strap. 3. Attractive Functionality. Says its 440 Stainless. This is what AI says about 440 stainless. "40 stainless steel is a high-quality, high-carbon stainless steel known for its excellent hardness, wear resistance, and good corrosion resistance, particularly the 440C grade. It comes in three main grades (440A, 440B, and 440C), varying by carbon content, with 440C being the hardest and most desirable for high-performance applications like knives and surgical tools, while 440A offers the best corrosion resistance. The overall quality of a 440 steel product heavily depends on the specific grade used and, crucially, the heat treatment it receives" This does not indicate which grade of 440 stainless it is. It is a one piece blade with the handle section covered in a synthetic rope cross weave configuration tied with a knot at the end. You can still feel the blade beneath the weave, so not sure how much protection from the shock of striking something with it would be. It also appears the rope weave could easily come undone. It does have a fairly sharp edge where it needs to be, but I wouldn't try to cut a piece of steak with just due to its overall size. It does have a serrated sections for cutting branches and a series of half round cut outs on the back of the blade. No clue what that's about. Blade would be too long to use to descale fish. It comes with a warning on the box that it contains lead. My guess its in the paint. So definitely do not try to use it to cut food. Overall. It is attractive but too lightweight to use as a machete, and probably not affective at cutting branches either. It does come with another warning label on the box that says for display purposes only. So much for camping purposes. I did receive this free for review purposes, but have given an honest unbiased review.

Nice and exciting about it when I got it

Nice affordable fantasy prop. Not a real heavy-use machete for real-world.
This is more of a toy / display than an actual tool. It's sharp enough but won't hold up to heavy use. Pricing is fine -- not a great value, not overpriced. The size is a bit small, since the 27" includes the nylon rope handle. I'm sure it would cut things, for a bit, but it's really more of a show piece, so not that functional. Luckily I got it for the fantasy reasons, so the functionality isn't that important to me. Losing one star for claiming that it could be used functionally.

Sharp and stylish. Great display peice.
This sword is very nice looking, 440 stainless steel which is a durable metal, its lightweight and sharp. So sharp it cut the stitching out if the side of the scabbard during shipping. Im not sure if the pattern will wear off during use, but the blade seems to be fully functional and ready to go great gift.

Solid Fantasy Sword, but Lacking for Other Uses
The metal blade for this fantasy sword is thick and solid, and I measured the full length from the tip of the blade to the butt of the handle to be just under 27 inches (26 15/16"). I like the design of the holes at the butt of the pommel and they are nice for hanging it or attaching a separate rope. The nylon cord on the hilt is fairly comfortable for short use. What I don't like is the quality of the sheath (one of the rivets came busted and the nylon sheath came torn where the rivet is). The sharp jagged surface of the busted rivet makes it likely to catch on and rip clothing. It appears to be plastic with nylon cord sewn in. The plastic edge of the sheath came chipped and the threads on the back are already coming out in a few places. Other drawbacks are the balance (it's approximately at the half way point from tip to tip), the hollow nylon cord (paracord would be my choice, but an easy fix), nor that the blade is made of 404 stainless. 404 is great for a fantasy sword, but not so great for a functional machete for camping or hunting. This seems to fall somewhere in the zone of a serious fantasy sword, but not quite there for any practical use.

Great collectors item
The tactical master machete is exceedingly well priced for what you're getting. The blade comes pre-sharpened. It looks nice and has a well-made hilt made of survival rope. The metal does not have any blemishes. I would recommend this for anyone who collects swords or for someone who gardens.
