Review: Great drill. Period. - Purchased this drill because it was equal to my rental costs for a large commercial job. Core drilled x150 holes in a total of 36hrs- 12 hr shifts non stop drilling and it did not complain, this drill worked its brushes off for me and it didn’t have a problem, worth the money, would buy again. (It’s a great drill if you know what you’re doing)
Review: Seems pretty good and a lot cheaper than other core drills. - This is hundreds of dollars less than other core drill sets. It seems a very good value for the money. Very sturdy components. Pretty easy to set up. Instructions are OK, there could be more information on use. There is better information on-line on how to use core drills. I bought this 8' version because I was going to drill 4" hole in granite rock for fence post, so I wanted more power than the 4" rated model. The wrenches that come with it don't work on all the parts an pieces that you need to adjust. A 22mm wrench or a larger crescent wrench is helpful. The off-on switch is a little strange, but it works. The biggest thing I would change on it would be to have a multi-speed option. That would make it easier to start in un-level rock and you could slow it down when you hear the motor start to work hard. I blew a 20 amp breaker when the bit got stuck on removal. I think using a 30 amp breaker would be better. It will shut down if it overheats but that means it's getting damaged. It still gets the job done and would do a 12" deep hole in under 10 minutes. Very glad I bought this.

**Q: Do you have spacer so can drill 12 inch jole**
A: No, we do not sell spacers for these machines.  8" Diameter holes are the largest holes these drill motors are spec'd for.  We do sell core drills that are designed for cutting up to 12" holes.  Search for BLUEROCK 12"Z1 T/S or BLUEROCK 12" Z1 LRBTS.  Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

**Q: can u interchange other name brand bits with this drill as long as it is the same shank size**
A: Hello Greg-  Yes, these drills use the standard 1-1/4" 7 UNC thread that most core bits out there use (including BLUEROCK brand core bits).  Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Purchased this drill because it was equal to my rental costs for a large commercial job.
