Williams Sound PKT D1 H26 with Rear-wear Headphone

Outstanding product. I have hearing aids and a sister with dementia. My sister is hard of hearing and won't use a hearing aid or any hearing help tool. So, the TV is turned up loud. I use the "Pocket Talker" with volume turned down low and with a headset. Result, I am able to listen to the TV at a much lower volume. I like it so well I bought 2 more, one for my pickup and one for my mountain cabin.

I bought the pocket talker for my husband who is extreamly hard of hearing. We have tried others but they only lasted a few months. He was in the hospital after a heart attack and the nurses gave him one to use. I came home and ordered one, he was so happy with it. Still has trouble with the TV, but he says he can hear me and that is the most important thing. The volume control is touchy but once he got used to it, it works well. He says the earphones are very comfortable and is worth every penny.

game changer for elderly mom who can't hear well!! she puts on headphones and can have conversations again! Especially great for medical professionals so they can ask her questions instead of depending on other family members. The headphones could be more comfortable and the ear pieces should be softer and thicker. They are a little cheaply made.

Very tight (on a small head) and not at all adjustable. Very thin wire, very cheap foam padding. Not something one can wear everyday, I doubt they will last more than a week of daily use. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of 2 is the tone adjustment works well.

Okay...my dad is 90 with Alzheimer's, complicated by poor hearing. Of course we took him to an audiologist and he was prescribed expensive hearing aids, which we purchased and had fitted. He WOULD NOT wear them. We tried everything. i took him to a neurologist appointment and the doctor got frustrated, knowing she could not make medical determinations because my dad could not communicate effectively due to hearing loss. She came back into the exam room with this product, put it on his head, and he could hear! I begged to buy it, but the hospital does not sell, so she let me take down the information on the product. I immediately purchased it and it is just wonderful. Dad will wear it for many hours at a time and if we sit within six feet of him, we can carry on a pretty normal conversation! The headphones are a little stiff and tight, but other than that, it is FABULOUS. I can always get looser headphones. Seriously, this has been a game changer for our family. So, if you have a hearing aid resistant adult in your family, this product is much, much more effective AND 1/10th of the price of hearing aids.

I am pleased with the product. It works great in a small group of 3 t0 5 people. Wore it in a noisy restaurant and had no trouble hearing and understanding the 4 other people at my table.

Bad product, good concept. When the product actually worked, it did amplify sound very nicely, however, there was so much loud static and interference that it was completely unusable. Plus the unit was very cheaply made, the lid to the batteries wouldn’t even fit. Really too bad, because the product definitely had potential and would have suited my needs if it had just been a little better quality

Purchased this item for a friend who has difficulty hearing. She likes the headset better than the earbud since it does not stay in her ear too well. Will have to buy a better quality ear piece. Adjustable sound tone is a very good feature. The extension is an excellent idea since the unit can be placed in various locations for better hearing quality. Previously communication was awkward since visitors would have to speak quite loudly which is not comfortable for most. Now communication is at a normal level. This item is perfect for anyone who cannot or does not wish to spend excessive amounts on hearing aids. The unit is compact and easy to operate. Best if laid on a table or other solid surface. Holding or rubbing against clothing causes sound interference. Had reservations when ordering but very pleased with the product and it's performance.

My aunt is very deaf and does not like wearing her hearing aids, afterall she is 94y.o. They used this device while she had a stint in hospital so we bought one for her. It wasn't cheap but she has had a lot of use out of it and it has made a huge difference. Works best in a quiet room.

This was for my 98 year old mother who has been getting more and more deaf recently. Now she can hear a quiet tv and hear us talking to her at the same time. She didn't want a hearing aid as sudden noises make her jump, a legacy from the blitz. This works so much better...and of course it's cheap.
