Would this quickly defrost meals I've made that are in a Tupperware pot?

Hi I think it would definitely speed up the thawing process, it usually takes a couple of hours in polythene bags

Can this defrost slicez of bread, even a whole loaf?

This will very easily defrost individual slices of bread. I always put a piece of kitchen paper over it to stop the bread crusting over due to being exposed to the air. If you’re going to do a full loaf. Then you might want to rotate it to get even defrosting. I use it for all sorts

Where do the liquids go whilst the item is defrosting? Is there a drip tray?

There doesn’t seem to be much liquid from anything I’ve defrosted! I place the plate at the side of the sink and let any drips drain that way. The defrosting plate has grooves on one side! I wish I’d discovered this great invention years ago! It’s fab.
