While this is most definitely a terrific product to have if you are a survivalist or something like that it's just as good if you just want to have a pop of fruit any time of year, any weather, or on days you can't get out to the grocery store but need a last-minute fruity ingredient for salads, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, smoothies, cakes.... It's also really yummy to snack on right out of the can, as is. Would be useful for hiking, school lunches, camping or road trips. When you open the can, your senses will be BLISSED OUT with these beautifully colored berries and the aroma of tangy sweet summer raspberries. We have never purchased freeze dried canned products before, and this was a completely new experience. There are desiccant packs to keep the contents fresh and dry. The fruit settles in the can so there is room at the top. You do get a lot and it is a good value for the price. The product is as lovely and flavorful as we had hoped it would be. We pureed some of the dried raspberries in a food processor then whipped up some whip cream and blended them in. Then we added coconut slices and walnuts for a quality ingredient fruit salad with no added sugar. It was not a recipe but an inspired experiment that worked out well. We have a million more ideas to try and will definitely be back to purchase more Augason Farms freeze dried berries! We purchased the set that came with one can of strawberries and one can of raspberries because purchasing them together offered a ten-dollar discount. These are as nice as you hope they will be and are way more cost effective than buying the individual packets, if you can even find individual packets of freeze-dried berries in your local grocery store. I couldn't. That's why we ordered these. Glad we did!

These are a great snack for kids! Very tasty and you get a lot for the price. Sometimes when you buy dehydrated raspberries, they break into tiny pieces. The can keeps them mostly whole. Whatever pieces are left that are too small for snacking, I use in my morning cereal. Highly recommend!

Very shelf-stable. Once opened, the berries were dry, safe, and okay to eat. The dehydration made the berries bitter, but they had been freeze-dried. There were so many raspberries, I was unable to consume them all alone, as humidity in the air started to affect them after being opened. Overall, good product -stayed shelf stable and once opened, did their task, only fault was too many berries to consume solo - and I think that's a good thing. Give 4/5 stars because I did not expect the bitterness, but again, they are dried berries, so no fault of process, but probably could have advertised the fault.

Look great as is and hydrated. They taste okay, close enough to a fresh berry. Purchased for fiber content and other nutrients. Raspberries have the most fiber of all berries, read that the other day. Anyways, hydrates much faster than the blueberries which are delicious too, bought a bag to try them a can for storage, but the whole company is great. I have a good size pyramid stack already, including a ground beef from another company, a powdered milk with added nutrients, Augason stuff mostly but those two aren't. Augason rocks! Gonna build my second pyramid stack! Btw the broccoli is very great tasting and texture. My 3rd can, 1 is out up but are 1 already, middle of and one now.
