🔥 Brew like a pro, impress like a legend!
The FastRackBrew Fermentation Heating Belt is a must-have for homebrewers, designed to fit 6-8 gallon plastic fermenters. It maintains a consistent brewing temperature of 75-80°F for up to 8 days, ensuring optimal fermentation conditions for your brews.

Effective brewing tool
I now own three of these heaters. They help me make beer and wine during the months when the air temperature is too low up enable yeast to finish their job. Yeast go dormant before they eat the last bit of sugar in the brew. Then, after bottling, they resume eating after weather gets warmer. And, bang, the wine bottles blow their corks or the beer is too fizzy. I have another heating belt from a different manufacturer, with a rheostat to regulate levels of heat. But it doesn’t work right. This simpler on/off control is better. Just unplug it when the brew seems too warm, and then replug later when fermentation slows too much. When it is on and you see no evidence of fermentation, you know you can bottle safely.

Great for heating 3d printer resin
Works great for keeping printer resin warm in the winter. I didn't want to stop printing during the winter when it gets below zero where I live. Purchased this over a expensive printer heater and worked wonders. Wrapped it around the vat and attached clips. Works greatThere are stl files you can print that will clip this snug to your vat. Just look them up online. Along with great youtube tutorials for using one to heat your 3d resin

Different than pictured, but still works pretty well
Works pretty well for my carboys. When looking for a heater for a fermentor I was looking for one that would work best for the variety of fermentors that I have (Buckets, Big Mouth Bubbler 6.5 gal, and Speidel 30L). Being that my fermentors vary in size and shape, I thought the belt \would work better than the wrap around heaters. Since I didn't go with the wrap around option I can't really compare the two, but am pleased with how the belt has worked out for me so far.Only complaint would be that the one I received does not work/look like the one pictured. Mine is a little more turquoise in color and has a plastic flip switch clamp lock on it which required you to overlap the belt through the clamp in order to adjust the size. This works fine, but I'm a little concerned about hot spots as well as belt wearing where the belt overlaps. Once the belt heats up, it tends to slack as well so I probably wouldn't recommend this on a standard bucket unless you add additional securing to prevent the belt from slipping once it starts to slack. I've only used it on my Big Mouth Bubbler (6.5 gal) and my 30L Speidel, both of which have ribs on them so I can tighten the belt just above a rib line without worrying of it slacking enough to slip off.I use this along with an Inkbird Itc-310T temperature controller and have had good results thus far. I would recommend applying the belt when your liquid is fairly close to the temperature range you want as the belt works best for maintaining temperatures much more so than overall heating. My first time use took approximately 10hrs to raise my temp 4 degrees from 70 up to 74 in my basement with an ambient temp of about 66 degrees. Once the temperature range on my controller was met however, it worked very well at keeping it within the set range. The only down side I have with the belt is that there is wasted/lost heating from the end of the belt to the fermentor past the point of the clamp. Unless your fermentor has straps you can slip the belt through to keep it into contact, the end of the belt just kind of hangs in the air

Does the job.
Heats well. Very hands-off. I didn't have any issues with it turning off or overheating.

If you are looking for 10-12 degrees of additional heat, this is for you.
I have a 6 gallon plastic bucket for brewing beer with about 5 gallons of brewing beer in it. My basement at this time of year is about 55 degrees. That would be perfect for lagers, but I bought an ale kit. (Woops.) The yeast wants to run at about 65-75 degrees per the instructions. (I am no expert.) I didn't add the belt until the 3rd day.My only question beforehand was will this heating belt make my bucket too warm vs too cold? The answer is no.If you have a similar setup, the belt seems to warm about 10-12 degrees at my basement temperature. Now even without the belt, the beer mixture was a couple of degrees warmer than the ambient temperature. So the belt raised the temp from about 56-58 to 66-68 degrees. Perfect. There is no thermostat or regulator, so the only way to get less effect, that I am aware of, is to loosen the belt somewhat. All in all, it seems like a great & high quality heater. That being said, I am a complete amateur so I do not have any quality reference points.

Highly Effective for Kombucha Fermentation
I was skeptical that this heating band would maintain an even temperature in my 5 gallon kombucha fermenter, but it does. I placed the band about 1/3 from the bottom of the fermentation bucket and plugged it in. It fits the circumference of a standard 5-gallon plastic food-grade bucket perfectly. At first, I let the heater run continously for two days. The ambient room temperature was 68 degrees and the kombucha brew was held steady at 83 degrees. Then I added an Inkbird ITC-308 temperature controller and programmed it to maintain 80 degrees. I taped the Inkbird's temperature probe to the outside of the fermenting bucket, placing a folded paper towel over the sensor to provide insulation. The Inkbird does a great job turning the heating band off and on at the appropriate times to maintain the programmed temperature. Set it and forget it! It works like a champ!I was initially wondering whether a belt-type heater would be better, but this band is very effective (particularly when combined with a temperature controller). It's easy to clean if you spill on it. It has a low electrical draw. It's versatile enough to fit different shape vessels. I'm very happy with this purchase.

short life
watch your heat. Mine band lasted about 2 months. Not worth it

Warm's my Mead
I use this with my conical brewer for making Mead and it heats it slightly and made it ferment much faster.
