Q: You show piocture of 6 plates and a door shield ? whats actually in ki?

I just purchased this kit and I too had the question of why there are so many pieces before I received it. There is a total of 6 long skinny metal plates that all install on the door jam side. 3 on top of the other 3. Parts B-D-B fit on top of A-C-A and run the whole height of the door jam. Then there are 2 parts that go over the end of the door for reinforcement there. All screws are also suppliedI will try to attach 2 pictures that will better show how that product installs.

Q: Why suddenly double the price? When looking yesterday, price was ~$20. Came to order today, & price is now ~$39. Not worth it now unfortunately.

I looked at the local home improvement stores, and when I bought mine, the store was almost1/2 what I paid here, but was worth it not to have to leave my home unlocked and unattended. Now the store is 4 times what it was last year; I ASSUME it's the "inflation " hitting everything!?!

Q: My house lock has spacing of precut 4" spacing between the deadbolt and entry lock. Will it work on this product?

My daughters apartment was the same way, I had to cut a new hole above the precut holes in both pieces . I used a drill to make the starter hole then use a jigsaw to finish.Hope this helps
