Seeley James does a great job bringing it all together in a book that's bound to keep you wondering what is going to happen on the next page turn.

I love reading about Jacob an Pia not to mention an unreliable god. This was the hardest of all the books to read. I’ve followed the team through all there adventures and I find it hard for Jacob to be anything other than what he truly is.....as he once put it “I’m Pia Sabels Serial killer”. Looking forward to many more books.

When I discovered Jacob Stearne there were already 6 or 7 books in the series so I got to read them one after another. I was missing Jacob and Pia and Mercury and Miguel. If you haven’t started the series yet then get going because this is a great series. I don’t want to tell you what happens but you won’t be disappointed

Since I finished Netflix during COVID, I turned back to reading. With a great deal of spare time, I complete two to three books per week. Except for Seeley James books. Death & Deception was a week point five ride. I am unable to rush his books, too much fun. Sadly, I learn stuff too. Thank you again Seeley

I have read many of Seeley James books. I know this sounds weird, but each seems better than the one before. I have liked all of them and this one really grabbed me. I like his polished style. I like that little things come back to tie in later. I enjoyed this immensely. Keep them coming.

While I am not an archeologist (refer to Chapter 1 to drive this point home), I do know this, along with all other of Seeley James’ books are treasures to read. Also, learn about Stearn's Law; it makes sense in today's world! Jacob and Mercury together again … who could ask for more!

The characters continue to deepen and evolve and the story line stands on its own and is interesting. I got so wrapped up in the characters and life meanings that tears rolled down my cheeks while reading the last few pages. But I didn't cry!

Book and fell in love with Pia Sabel all over again. I think that Jacob has more going for him with Pia than the god Mercury.
