Trumpet trainer very helpful!
My grandson is in the band at his middle school. This is his first year playing the trumpet. This trumpet training was exactly what he needed & he practices almost daily. His dad said he sounds much better since he has been practicing more.

Great for “SILENT” practice and muscle memory
This piece is great for practicing and building muscle memory. It’s perfect for working on buzzing and technique without needing to play your full instrument. Just keep in mind that it doesn’t produce any sound, it’s strictly for silent practice and improving control.

Great practice tool--highly recommended!
This is a really cool device for practicing fingerings, buzzing practice and ear training. For $20, you get a tool that closely imitates the action of a real trumpet. Kudos to its inventor! Like a previous reviewer, I took off one star because the springs are so stiff. I wish I could just take off 1/4 of a star, because this thing is overall pretty awesome. I had pre-ordered a set of Yamaha springs, changed them out first thing and have been playing with my new toy all evening! It was easy to change the springs. All the parts unscrew just like a real trumpet. In a master class a few years ago, I saw Arturo Sanduval demonstrate a very similar practice tool he had made for himself by throwing together parts from a real trumpet (or more likely cutting one up). Like the PAMPET, it could easily fit in to a brief case or carry-on bag. He said he uses it to practice on long plane flights. (That was before TSA got crazy, though!) I don't often write reviews, but this thing actually works and will be useful to my students (and me). I am happy to help spread the word.

Love this for me
This is my first review of any Amazon product ever. I’m happy to review this product in a positive light. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do with what I need it for. We don’t need to buy special equipment to work miracles and wonders. The miracles and wonders happen through us as people and players. What this does is create confident fingers where I know I sometimes lack follow-through with my third finger. It also helps me work on using air through phrases because I often hold back making things significantly harder to get through. I highly recommend.

Great training tool for beginners.
Great practice tool for beginers. My daugter loves it because she can practice her trumpet everywhere with out causing a commotion with the sound. Hard plastic that resist handling in a bag. Functions as a real valve from the trumpet. Great grip and comfort on fingers. Great value for thepractical use of equipment.

Meh!
Pros - Great for fingering on the go. Good way to keep your fingers loose. Lightweight and feels good in the hand. The finger buttons feel good as well. Cons - Not to be taken seriously. Though the resistance is pretty decent, there is no slotting of the "note". The blowing is pretty linear no matter the effort. This is a pretty cool concept and cool to have, but I'm not sure what you can accomplish with this other than fingering practice.

Good fingering trainer
Wow! It features one of the most incoherent descriptions ever. It appears that this company wanted to or does make an all plastic trumpet, but as a tangent, designed and made a training device, because otherwise, why would they go so far as to make real working valves that go nowhere? No matter, it works as a fingering trainer to develop finger independence when actual trumpet playing is not convenient, and for this purpose, the spring tension is fine as it is. Because of the valves, holding it approximates holding an actual trumpet. There is a lead pipe and you can insert a mouthpiece and practice buzzing, although that might be obnoxious for anyone in proximity. It's what I wanted and I'm satisfied. I have trouble with finger independence between the second and third especially, and I hope this will allow me to work on that without driving anyone--including myself--insane.
