It was packaged well but since it gets banged around, more cushion would be nice. Only reason I'm not returning is because I put it together LMAO Can make a squeaking sound here and there but I assume that's because it's against the wall. I'm used to a fabric headboard Putting the slats in was hell, DO NOT tighten the rails first (save yourself!!!) and the things that go on top of the slats are useless (to hold them in place).
