Sonos Sub (Gen 3) - Black

I have had this sub on my wish list ever since updating our home stereo system 1 1/2 years ago. We are admitted musicaholics, and our main listening room (our family room) has ultra high end components and speakers which we enjoy immensely. We have Sonos speakers or amplifiers in many of our other rooms to provide "very good" sound when we are doing things around the house versus simply sitting and listening (in our main listening spots). This sub-woofer made our sound in our living room (occasional listening spot) significantly fuller and more enjoyable. Good value for money and the set up is amazingly easy - it literally took me three minutes to have it set up and integrated into the room.

Setting up the Sonos Sub Gen 3 with an Era 300 was a breeze, and the results were astounding. Even with the Sub placed 10 feet away from the Era 300, the sound quality was exceptional, with no rattling and a deep, rich bass that didn't overpower the volume. This setup delivers a powerful low-bass experience, enhancing the overall audio quality without overwhelming the room. It's a great choice for those who want to add depth to their sound system without sacrificing clarity or comfort.

This subwoofer packs a punch! It is amazing when combined with the sound bar and surround speakers. Easy to plug in and connect to the rest of the sound system. It isn’t too heavy and can be placed practically anywhere! The construction of the subwoofer is great because the sound is being channeled through the center rather than at the bottom (so no risk of the speakers hitting the surface of whatever it’s sitting on). It is truly amazing! Definitely worth it if you value a quality surround sound experience!

subwoofer definitely adds to SONOS speaker sound experience. I brought one to put onto my pair of play1 speakers as they sounded good but didn't have the low bass kick I am used to. System sounds totally different now with dynamic bass, truly amazing difference. On a whim I moved the subwoofer to a room I have 2 play3 speakers in and the difference it made was truly amazing. Sub added low sound freqs that made system sound superior. Lastly I moved to living room that I have 2 play5 speakers in. Wife thought I was crazy to put there as play5 speakers already have good kick and range. Thinking that since the play5 speakers have good bass it wouldn't make a difference, boy was I/she wrong. it definitely improved the music quality dramatically. I'm not trying to be a sales person but once you hear the difference the subwoofer makes with any pair of SONOS speakers its hard to go without them. I currently have 3 subs (2 gen3 and 1 gen2), I cant really tell the difference between them. The only weakness in the SONOS sub is that they are pricey.

These Sonos systems are truly incredible. I have had my Sonos Arc for a couple of years and had it paired with a pair of the Sonos One SL speakers for the rear channels in addition to a single gen 3 sub. I recently added a second gen 3 sub and could not be happier. If your putting together a home cinema system I urge you to just go with the buy one cry once idea and get the complete system with a pair of subs. I believe all in with the newer rears and the new arc ultra it will put you around $3500 which is money well spent and for 99/100 people this system will exceed your expectations. Kudos to Sonos for putting together such a brilliant system at the price point it’s offered at.

OMG! The fullest sounding experience has arrived in my own home!!! We've been using this for quite some time. It's got such a fantastic balance! Even when cranking up the bass gain, it still sounds/feels amazing. It actually has SO much power that we don't ever use the bass higher than maybe 2-3 clicks above it's normal middle setting. Beyond that, you're uncomfortable with the exciting sensation of vibrations going through your body!

The sound quality out of this little guys is impressive. Note, that you have to buy another sonos product for it to work, see details for specific speakers. I tried to run it with a Sonos Port off hooked up to many in wall speakers and a receiver/amp setup. That didn't work, you have to have at least one other Sonos speaker product for it to pair to. Just FYI. We're running it outside for our cover patio zone. Impressive.

Es un excelente subwoofer para complementar tu sistema de sonido Sonos. Lo compré particularmente para complementar a mi barra de sonido (Beam) y la mejora ha sido bastante: la barra se escucha más nítida, más clara, identificas mejor los matices, y se libra de las frecuencias graves, ya que el subwoofer hace todo el trabajo. El subwoofer, sin el trueplay puede ser “bastante potente”, y mucho bajo; sin embargo cuando realizas la calibración, te lo ajusta de tal forma que sea una respuesta más definida y nítida (quizá a algunos les haga pensar que el subwoofer está apagado, sobre todo si es una sala grande; pero puedes ajustar el volumen y con eso compensas a tu gusto). El precio, es elevado, así que considero que deba ser comprado en una oferta, quizá si costara menos y fuese más accesible sería una compra sin dudarlo. En general, lo recomiendo. Pros: - Buena definición. - No distorsiona. - Excelente diseño. - No genera vibraciones (por su tecnología). Contras: - Es caro. Gracias por leer la reseña.

El Sub es feroz. Una pieza de ingeniería digna del precio. Lo utilizo junto a un sub adicional, dos era 300 y la arc. Un sub potencia los graves en servicios de atmos como netflix y la app de sonos para música, pero al agregar un segundo sub la distribución de los sonidos graves mejora notablemente y también, la sonoridad del conjunto. ¿Valdrá la pena? depende del gusto personal y la calidad de los graves que se desee percibir, desde mi acústica sí, aunque es solo la opinión de un lego. Si tienes la posibilidad y el gusto auditivo por vivir el sonido, no dudes en sumar el Sub a tu teatro en casa. 2 subs, bueno, dependerá de ambas variables. ¿Cómo colocarlos? hay muchas reseñas, videos en youtube, shorts, etc, lo cierto es que tras el tiempo puedo concluir que ello depende del espacio en que pienses usarlo. Lo puse bajo la arc en posición vertical -tal cual en la foto en que luce a lado de un mueble negro - justo frente a mi sofá y noté que los graves se tornaron más audibles, especialmente desde el perfil del sub, es decir, estando de frente al perfil de éste, entonces lo cambié a modo que la rejilla del sonido apuntara hacia el perfil pero aún así continue percibiendo los graves desde el perfil y no desde mi sofá. Es cuestión de arquitectura de mi espacio, según mi investigación. Como sea, al final con un solo sub me gustó que los graves no fueran tan audibles desde mi sofá, pues de perfil en verdad son algo infernal. Si tu propósito es sentir los graves en el cuerpo y no solo escucharlos, entonces coloca el sub detrás de tu sofá, recordarás esta reseña. Si adquieres 2 subs, pon uno tras el sofá y uno enfrente. Aunque insisto, dependerá de la arquitectura de tu espacio, en mi caso y sin lugar a dudas la experiencia no puede describirse fielmente desde la vía escrita. :)

Amazing Subwoofer! if you have the Sonos Arc & Ones this definitely recommended to complete the surround sound package. Definitely adds the much needed Bass, even though the Arc alone had solid bass. The subwoofer and the rest of Sonos products are so easy to setup and use via the Sonos app. Love the the trueplay auto tuning. Overall this is the best sound quality I’ve tested and done a lot of research on, the one good thing to come from 2020 was Sonos stealing the show. From the Arc, to the ones, to the Subwoofer they are beyond expectations. 10/10 I’d recommend this surround sound setup for any movie fanatic/sports buff or gamer/music lover. Sonos app is on another level compared to the others for iOS. Subwoofer is easily worth the money for any Sonos user, also it has a great look as far as subwoofer’s go. You don’t want to hide it like other ones you may have had. Great job Sonos! My LG CX OLED “65/PS5 is loving it 😁
