Great design, durable, and functional dish set
Review for 4-Piece Dish Set I’m pleased with the quality and design. The set is beautifully designed, with a clean and modern look that complements a variety of table settings. The colors are vibrant but not overpowering, and the finish has a smooth, glazed appearance. The dishes feel sturdy and well-made. They’ve held up well to everyday use and multiple runs in the dishwasher without showing signs of wear or chipping. Additionally, they’re microwave-safe, which is a huge plus for reheating leftovers. The size of each piece is practical—plates are large enough for full meals, and the bowls have a good depth for soups or pasta. The weight is balanced, not too heavy but substantial enough to feel durable. For the price, this set is a great value. While it’s not as high-end as some premium dishware, it offers excellent quality at a reasonable cost, making it perfect for everyday use or a starter set for a new home. I’d definitely recommend this dish set to anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their kitchen. It’s affordable, practical, and attractive—a great choice for most households.

Pretty and Functional
I was waiting to review until after using these a few times. 1 month in here are my thoughts: 1) Shipping issues, which I expected after reading reviews. I ordered 3 sets and lost 3 full size plates, everything else was fine. The company just sent me a 4th set and everything came in perfect. Now I have extra bowls and small plates for when they do eventually chip or break. 2) So far everything is holding up in the microwave, I do eventually expect things to break as time goes on, thus my purchase of extra dishes. In the dishwasher the dishes load really nice and come out clean and perfect every time. 3) I have already chipped one plate, from hitting a bowl on the edge of a large plate. Only the plate chipped and is washing and still usable. Again I prepared for dish loss, it happens over time with use. Overall I am super happy with the hand painted and glazed look. These remind me of hand crafted pottery and I love the imperfections in the paint style for that reason. If you are looking for perfectly matching dishes stick to a single color. If you want something that is affordable with a hand crafted look these are for you.

A good lookin' bowl/plate that will provide years of use.
Love the bowls. The plates are of great size and thickness which certainly leads to very good durability. They do show finger prints after washing. They don't fit in a standard microwave due to size. Like the bowls they are microwaveable. The down side is the plates don't hold liquid well. If you have a good item that tends to be runny, that liquid will run off plate especially if you are using a dinner tray to hold plate itself. The design on the plate corners are flat along with the edges. There should be a slight curve up on all sides in order to help that liquid to remain on plate. Outside of that design element, our family love these plates and bowls. The color design we really do like with the dark grey and dark mahogany color.

Beautiful, large set, but..
I spent an entire summer looking at dish sets on a variety of websites. I wanted something that would go with our modern rustic farmhouse vibe. These fit our style and budget. We have a big family and needed 4/5 sets so I wanted to spend around $50 per set. I love the detail on these dishes. They have been very sturdy and so far none of them have scratched except for one bowl that arrived broken. I was disappointed to be told that I would have to either return the entire set work out to the company and spend about $17 and shipping and the cost of a new bowl. I wish there was a way to remedy this. Otherwise I have been very happy with the set. I will say the bowls are rather large. As are the dinner plates. We have a plate rack above our kitchen sink and the dinner plates do not fit in it. We have the salad plates in the space now. The bowls are very oversized. I like this but you have to watch your portion control with them. We had big bowls before and these are huge.

Very Nice Dish Set
After about 25 years of using the light colored set made by Pfaltsgraff, I was down to three plates and they were all cracked. I finally decided it was time to replace them and I wanted to go with something completely different from the old set. Starting with eliminating the cups and saucers that just took up room in my cabinet. So, I bought this set as well as the Soho set, also by Gibson, and am happy with my decision. This set is gorgeous! The reactive glaze DID react differently in the various pieces, which is why the plates look more blue than the bowls. And why the patterns look different, depending on the shape and slope of the dish. And wow, these two sizes of bowls are excellent! The set feels and sounds solid and well made, but time will tell. I only hand wash my dishes and that's the one area where these dishes lose a star. The bottom ridges are small and toward the center, which makes it hard to get a thumb grip when washing. The glaze is slick and it gets slicker still with soap and water. I have quite large hands and found it quite tricky to wash them as usual. So, I adapted and now I don't turn the dishes upside down when washing. I can still wash the bottoms, obviously, but doing it this way gives me a lot more control. Many people will use a dishwasher, so that won't be an issue for them. There were a few minor imperfections, but only noticeable upon close inspection. And both this set and the Soho set were well packaged and arrived fully intact.

Just What I Wanted!
This is the stoneware service I have been looking for! Great color and weight. Great in microwave and dishwasher. Does not scratch like many I've seen. Love them. Bought 2 sets for less than lower quality dinnerware. The 2 bowl sizes are perfect. I do not miss having matching cups since we don't drink coffee.
