Pardon my possible ignorance but this stuff doesn't "melt." It stays course, and this coursness stays mega course. I attempted to use a meat mallet to break it up smaller..... no go. I was surprised that Goggle said to use more of the course than the sand type of salt. It provides great flavor. The packaging is appropriate ☺️
