I ordered this unit for my 2015 Ram 1500, and it arrived within 2 days. I went through the setup process (easy if you pay close attention to the steps) and brought the module inside to finish programming on the computer with the supplied USB connector. The unit would not flash. I called customer service and was connected to a tech in minutes. He walked me through the process, including the download for the final program, and realized I had a bad module quite quickly. He asked me to send a picture of the module, which i promptly did, and he immediately sent me a replacement. Worked perfectly. Do NOT spend $100's of dollars to have a remote starter installed by a shop! This unit is exactly what you would pay $700 +/- for at a fraction of the cost, and works perfectly. It uses the factory tip key as the remote, thus giving you much more range for the startup. I highly recommend this product, and the customer service is top notch! It required very little dismantling (pull the dash panel off), and took all of 30 minutes to program and install. I am duly impressed! I found the instructions clear and concise, as long as you follow them to the letter. Best bang for the buck you can find!

I can’t believe how easy this was to install and program! Maybe 30 minutes from start to finish with programming. You do jump around in the instructions a bit, but it’s incredibly easy, just follow the instructions. Downloading the firmware was easy. Sign up, check your junk mail for activation email, activate account. Download what the book says to download. Works for Mac and windows. STEP BY STEP (2014 RAM 1500), 1. Install new obd T-harness. 2. Remove dash panel. 3. Install “main T-harness” ignition harness to ignition. 4. Connect main t-harness to new obd harness via the canbus connector. 5. While connecting black connector to module, hold reset button, hold until red light flashes on module. 6. Connect blue and white connectors to module. 7. Close driver door. 8. Open driver door. 9. Press unlock multiple times on factory key fob until module LED flashes green. 10. Turn Key to ON position and wait for LED on module to turn solid red. (I accidentally started mine, but it worked.) 11. Turn key off 12. Remove key 13. Insert key and start vehicle. 14. Wait for LED on module to flash green and remove key. 15. Disconnect blue and white plug from module FIRST! 16. Disconnect black module plug LAST. 17. Head inside to flash module on computer. Internet access needed to sign up and download Weblink Desktop Software. 18. Click “Sign up” button in top right corner at weblinkupdater.com 19. Sign up. 20. Check JUNK mail for activation email. 21. Resend activation link if email doesn’t show up within a minute. 22. Download weblink desktop software. 23. Plug in module with supplied USB adapter. 24. Open Weblink software. 25. Click Weblink RS. 26. Click “Start Extended Programming”. 27. Click “Continue Extended Programming”. 28. Once complete, unhook module and head back out to vehicle. 29. Reconnect module, all three plugs. White, blue, black. (If colors haven’t changed) 30. Turn key to ON position. 31. LED should turn solid GREEN for 2 seconds. According to the book, of it doesn’t turn green, try proceeding anyway. (It came on for me). 32. Turn key to OFF position. 33. Start the vehicle. 34. Turn off the vehicle and remove key. 35. Get out and close door. 36. Press lock button on key fob 3 times. 37. Vehicle starts!!!!!! 38. Unlock vehicle 39. Open door, get in, close door. (Important for anti-theft) 39. Insert Key and turn to run position. 40. Press brake. 41. Select Drive or Reverse. 42. Go for a test drive! 36-41 have to happen in that order every time you start the truck or the truck will go into anti-theft and shut off. I saw a lot of complaints about this, but I love it because it protects you as the owner!! Very simple! Pretty impressed with myself and you will be too! 😉

I just installed it today, and so far it's working perfectly. The installation took me maybe 20 minutes, the longest part probably being the software install and flash on my laptop. It's cheap, it's straightforward, and it's exactly as it is described. I'm happy with the product.

I was skeptical but it actually works for my RAM 1500 V8 SLT with key ignition (not button ignition) The instructions aren’t wrong. If you’re even slightly experienced in reading car related instructions then the instructions are fairly “normal” in my opinion. However I think they could add a bit more description to the written instructions. For example, the module has multiple ports and it becomes obvious which ports you need to connect to by matching the connectors to the port with correct number of pins but there was no pic to match it to. The videos definitely helped so please watch them. Helpful tips for general audience: 1) I took my time installing. Overall it was actually quick and if I did it a second time it’d take me no more than 10 minutes. 2) I brought my laptop to the truck and used hotspot to connect to the application you have to install in order to avoid going back inside. 3) after install, managing the slack wires and the module is important because it will hang low. If I didn’t suspend the module with the zip ties so that it stays “closer to steering column” then it’d fall right in front of the floor heating/cooling vent… which is probably not a good idea. Overall happy with the product.

What an easy install. The starter was more than I expected for a plug and play. Programming was easy but some of the steps you have to repeat, have patience. This still took me under a half hour from start to complete finish. My Ram was the test for this starter and now I'm buying one for my wife's Durango. I'm not the type of person to write reviews so this should speak volumes even if you don't know me.

Installed on a 2017 Ram 1500 CC with Tip Key. I have never installed a remote start kit.. I know the basics of vehicles, so this wasn’t incredibly hard. If you know the basics, I would save the money and do it yourself. Shoot, even if you don’t, save the money and DIY- it’s not hard at all. 1st off, I had to buy a used dell laptop from OfferUp since it’s not supported for Mac laptops, which kind of sucked. However, that was probably way cheaper than getting it professionally installed. 2nd, the instructions kind of sucked.. I had to re-read the instructions a few times since they were vague. Once understood, the install was a breeze. I had no hiccups during install. In fact, this is the easiest and smoothest aftermarket install I’ve ever done on any vehicle. Make sure you use internet explorer or else it’ll say it’s not compatible. I’d recommend this product to anybody wanting to do a DIY install. It’ll take a little bit to get used to starting it, but I’m so excited. Being in Arizona, it’ll be nice to have remote start during 115+ summers and below 32 winter mornings. I never had to reach out to customer service or re flash the device. Just make sure you thoroughly follow the directions. My biggest complaint and improvement to the developer would be better instructions and to have an installation video guide to go along with. Update: I have since downgraded to a 1 star. After 3 months, suddenly my ECU did not recognize both of my key fobs. This messed with my computer system and left me stranded several times. Once I removed the product, my truck started working fine. It also caused computer glitches to have my truck driving at 5500 RPM at 45mph. Not sure what was going with this product.
