I bought these for my granddaughter aged 7 (an excellent reader) who lives in Geneva and is bi-lingual. She absolutely loved them and uses them frequently when reading. I have to add she is quite unlike my other 8 grandchildren who at this age, would not perhaps bother to check unknown words, but for older children, I would highly recommend them - kids are so used to doing everything electronically.

This has got to be one of the worst tranlators I have ever come across ! I have been trying to use this product for some time now and find it is near to useless ! Not only is it awkward to use but half the time its ends up with the wrong tranlation or nonsense. You are much better off with goggle translate a free app on your smart phone. This also works off line. So I regret ever buying this rubbish at any price. Avoid ! Also if you find you don't like it or can't use it you have to pay the return postage for the privilege.

We saw this at someone else's house and our 6 year old granddaughter was very interested in it so we bought one. Her interest has waned I think because she has limited reading skills. She can type in a word but can't read the definition. It will be more useful to her as her skills improve but it does work and is very neat and easy to carry around.

Perhaps it is unfair to give only three stars, word counts for dictionaries tell quite a lot and I knew when I ordered it that it was only the equivalent of a pocket dictionary. But I have to say that one thing is very good - it seems to be capable of recognising verb forms and assigning them to the relevant infinitive. That is really EXCELLENT as I am not good at remembering the infinitive of verbs which pop up in the middle of texts (If I were I would have much less need of a dictionary!) I find it fairly tiresome to type out the words I need and then having to erase everything if I find a typo at the beginning of a long word. I am not very dexterous when it comes to pressing little buttons and all too frequently find that some button I pressed has not registered. I guess that that is really my main complaint. I am also a little grumpy for other reasons this morning, so maybe the timing of this enquiry was also a little unfortunate.

This bookmark is amazing. It is super thin and would fit into any non headboard book. It is wonderfully made, and a lot quicker than a normal dictionary. It has tons of words on it, and is wonderful. The only thing I will say is they should make it easier to change which language your using. Overall great product, great price.

Very poor. Difficult to use and wih a very limited vocabulary. But I guess you get wat you pay for.

Bought this on recommendation of a friend as my New Year's resolution was to read more in French and it seemed the ideal companion for that job as you could look the word up immediately. Sadly I found it absolutely useless as to date it has not found a single word I looked up. However I have given it 2 stars as I can see it would be useful if you were a beginner and the design of it (a bookmark which slips easily inside a book) pleases me. Someone else said it shouldn't be described as a dictionary which is a good point. If you are looking for a dictionary I would recommend Franklin BFQ450 French-English Dictionary and Translator but be warned the English translations of French words are good but it works less well the other way round!

This was for my partner's Birthday and he does speak good Spanish. However he keeps carrying a huge Dictionary around with him to look up various words. He says that this is a brilliant product idea and well deserving of 5 stars.

Arrived broken. Ordered a replacement and it arrived broken again. Returned it and gave up. Really loved the idea for my daughter but the quality isn’t there.

Pequeño, util y muy manejable. Es tan delgado como cualquier marcapaginas. El diccionario se queda bastante corto.

Très bien. Il faut prendre l'habitude. Très utile pour tous les mots utiles pour converser en anglais. Pour des textes plus littéraires, le gros dico harraps reste utile.
