It isn't easy finding orange hue lipsticks and nail polishes that are just right (depending on your skin tone and color). I have light skin with a bit of pink undertone but not ivory or very fair (like red hair gals). This Electric Orange shade is perfect for my lip color (not dark but not very pinkish either). I use NYX matte lip cream (buenos aires) as a base color and then apply this over it in the inner half of my lips to create a gradient effect. It's beyond beautiful! The texture is creamy, no shimmer, and not neon. It isn't reddish orange nor creamy popsicle orange (with a lot of white). It's not halloween orange either. It isn't sheer or matte but is buildable. It isn't long stay therefore reapplying is necessary after drinking and eating. For longer lasting, I recommend Etude House dear darling water tint orangeade. It will stain your lips orange (I only use it on the inner half of my lips for gradient effect, too) before applying Electric Orange lipstick. If you are looking for orange lipstick for a change from the usual mauve, pink, skin tone, or red, give this a try.

This lipstick was exactly what I was looking for! I was looking for an affordable wine color lipstick that would have that deep rich color. Some other lip glosses that I purchased in similar colors were not that rich of a color and needed to be applied in multiple layers to try and get the color I wanted. This lipstick was perfect! In one application, you get that nice red wine color and it lasts throughout the day. Researching similar make - up products had much higher price tags so this lipstick is really the biggest bang for your buck! I highly recommend it!!

The quality is worth the price..

Update: I love this so much, I just bought a 2nd for backup, since it seems Electric Orange is a discontinued color. This is my new favorite, everyday lipstick! Hopefully I can find a new favorite when these run all out. Until then, at least I have a couple! Original Review: Just what I wanted- a bright but sheer orange. It's called Electric Orange and in the tube looks neon, so I was a little intimidated. But when put on it showed some of my natural color through behind it, just very subtly, which is bright pink. So on, it looked like a really nice orangey toned coral. So it wasn't as dramatic or shocking on as it was in the tube. Which, personally, I find quite pleasing. It (Electric Orange) might not look flattering on all skin tones though. I'm light but warm toned and oranges look flattering on me. I can't speak for others who have cool tones. (Frankly, I think people should just wear what they like, but some people don't like wearing certain colors, so...) The feel of it was really silky and pleasant! But the smell...well, it isn't BAD. It's just...weird. having worked with little kids and now having 3 kids of my own, I can tell you, it smells exactly like play-dough. Not the best, not the worst, just really odd lol But the color and feel is worth it, IMO! The longevity is probably not very long (I just got it and haven't had it on long), but I don't like long lasting lip color because I have very dry lips and they're small. So longevity isn't something I consider. Long-last lipsticks tend to look terrible on me. So I just reapply. I'm used to putting on balms or chapstick constantly anyway lol But if you're different than me and looking for a long-last situation this is not it.

It is perfect - the color, the smudge resistance and the gloss.

Being a middle aged woman I admit that I was nervous about blind buying an orange lipstick. The first swipe goes on sheer. Thereafter it becomes more opaque. It is far from a screaming orange thankfully. I wanted a flattering shade of orange and I happily received just that. As I was watching Season 7 of Mad Men I could not help but notice this very shade of lipstick being worn along with corals. Maybe that is why I was drawn to this shade. It is very moisturizing with decent staying power. The shine and color help to brighten my complexion. Would also be incredibly sexy with a tan. This formula rivals those found at high end department stores. For the price I cannot be disappointed. Give this a try if you are on the hunt for an orange lipstick that is tastefully done. I am anxious to try other shades in the Vivids line now. I just ordered the Shocking Coral and plan to purchase more. UPDATE**** 3/31/2015 ---- I just received the Shocking Coral today. It is more pink than coral. An intense flat bright pink. I think the color is pretty but not on me. This shade does not have the shine or creaminess that the orange one did. Go figure.

Lovely color...slightly less intense but definitively as it looks on the tube. I will order the Vibrant Mandarin shade to check if is the perfect orange for my skin color (i'm dominican, let's say afro-caribbean with a mostly caramel brown complexion). Anyways, excelent lipstick with lots of pigments and and gorgeous poppy colors!

This item is obviously used item or a tester. There are signs of use as you can see in the pictures. Product has no seal and not secured at all. Will dump it as I will never use a used item, terrible!!
