A Boxer, Catahoula, and a Chow. They work exactly as stated. Easy to set up. I think we've been using them for four or five months. And they still work fine. And we use them almost daily at a minimum. And we only charge them periodically. Ours don't wear them non-stop only when they go out an un-fenced areas or for walks but they work just fine they beep, vibrate, and shock. I didn't like the collars they came with so we had different collars set up to use because I didn't like the hooks on these ones but it was easy to set up our own collars. Every day, they show their love and excitement when I get home. Proceeding to hug and jump all over me. One dog isn't so bad, but the other is 110lb+ baby. When he jumps, he has enough force to draw blood if he is overly excited. Did I mention he is a big dog? Anyway, we use a wireless containment collar system in conjunction with this. The audible beep works best, because they recognize that from the wireless containment system - it gets their attention. Inside the house, if they get rowdy, we just turn it on (which, without reading the manual is virtually impossible - but given its worn on a dog, it is fairly reasonable), and give an audible beep and they settle right down. Because of this type of correction, they also mind much better now. For us, it truly has made a massive difference.PROS:It works, holds the charge long enough to be a worthwhile investment.It stays on the dogs, even with heavy "horseplaying" outside.Seems to withstand normal wear and tear.Middle Ground:Collars can be set all together on one channel or on their own individual channel. Care must be taken to ensure they are all set on individual channels so that you don't correct a dog unintentionally.CONS:While installing the studs on one of the collars, one completely sheared off the collar by finger tightening it. This was not a deal breaker, as the beep works well enough for the worst dog. Here are my pros and cons. I am a hog hunter. I live in south florida. We go through hell with our dogs by oursides. Shock collar technology has been so helpful for a number of reasons. But the main ones are basic listening. Keep the dogs from messing with things or animals that they arent supposed to be messing with. We catch hogs. Sometimes puplies will want to mess with a cow instead of a hog. A small pop and they are back on track and know better to mess with a cow. It protects the land owners livestock. And my dogs. I have owned shock collars of all top name brands. Including. Garmin delta. Tri tronics. Sport dog. And my favorite dogtra. But over the years i buy and use for 2 months then sell cause i dont need it Any more. 6 months later i need a system. I like the magnetic power switch. That is similar to dogtra. I like the design. Sleek. Lanyard loop so i cant lose the hand held running through a swamp. And most importantly simple in every aspect except one... The auto shut off. Now that is stupid as it gets. Whoever thought of that needs to be kicked in the nuts. When i repair with the handheld it beeps 3-4 times. That will have my dog thinking they did wrong when they didnt. That is my only problem with this collar. I mean the charging seals could fit alittle tighter but. That auto shutoff has got to be fixed. Sometimes i dont have 15 sec to stop and pair my hand held when something is going on in the woods. If my dog is standing on a creek bank and i can see a gator going to him and i try to pop him and get him to come back and nothing happens. I stop and get to 4 sec of the 10-15 needed to repair and by the time i can pop the dog hes been eaten by a gator. All because the collar auto shutoff. My dogs mean the world to me. Make things simple and easy not a hassle that can cost me my dogs life. Thank you for the product. Just needs improvement.
