Confirmed works with 2015-2019 Yamaha R1. Easy to connect. Make sure you always connect before turning on ignition and turning off ignition before disconnect.

Did you know that if you run a Yamaha R6 in gear on a rear stand--like every single warning label on the bike/in the bike's owner's manual, chain cleaning/maintenance product, AND the rear stand itself TELLS YOU IS A DUMB IDEA (for various reasons)--you'll get a check engine light? I didn't! And then I did! And then I spent $46 on this + an OBDII scanner to clear the code and turn off my glowing orange shame. Product does exactly what it says on the tin, and does it well.

Works Flawlessly for Yamaha Motorcycles
This adapter does what it is supposed to do. The adapter allows you to connect to a Yamaha motorcycle ECU to your standard OBDII reader. I have a 2017 FZ09 and I had to turn the ignition to transfer the ECU codes to my OBDII reader.

Used this adapter with my code reader to diagnose a charging problem.

Perfect for checking the engine light codes. I didn't plug my bike into my battery tender and tries starting it after a few months of storage and the battery was low and cranked then clicked and a check engine light came on. Now such things can be taken care on without having to go to the mechanic.
