I love the taste! I am not a big fan of fish, but since these are marinated it’s not fishy at all. I love the soft crunchy bones. It gives the fish texture. Make a bit of rice and put the fish over the rice. Have some pickled cucumber (bought the Japanese pickle mix here on Amazon) on the side and you’ve got a quick meal.

My wife is Japanese and misses the food. This isn't a substitute for fresh Japanese mackerel but it's good. She serves it with a salad, miso soup, and mackerel over rice with sesame on top. It's nice to have a pantry item that she feels is authentic. I'd buy it again.

The flavor is so good. There is something magical about how soy sauce elevates the sweet and savory combination. That may seem over the top but I just don’t know how else to describe how reasonably priced canned food can be made to taste this amazing. Just one can of this is the perfect amount to make a Mackerel Burger from Food Wars. Anime fans will know what I’m talking about.

I personally did not like the taste but but the seller deserves 5 stars because it was exactly as advertised. I love fish but in a different way. Some will love the taste though. Maybe in a dish other than just eating it would be better

At last I can enjoy the flavor of teriyaki saba. For the longest time this delicacy was inported only from Japan to Hawaii. Thank you, Amazon, for making this product readily available.

This is a delicious product However, what differs from other canned mackerel products is that ther is 13g of sugar in each can. No good for a keto diet. The nutrition label in Amazon was in japanese and I made the mistake of assuming no sugar.
