Once you go Okocat you can't turn back
This is the ABSOLUTE best litter I have ever purchased in my cats entire life, and my life. It doesn't have any smells (to me), it is far less dusty than ALL the rest of the litter out there (arm and hammer, clay, pretty-litter, absorbing crystals, pellet-paper type). It is worth a try; I found out about it from my client who's quite informational about cat products (try the [purple] cat calming collar {pricey but try it out} and it was surprisingly useful and helpful for my cat and lasted a month). This litter clumps, and when daily cleaned, can last up to two-three weeks! Worthy of it's asked price, fluffy and lightweight, easy to clean, easy to vacuum (if not cleaned well or often enough, a quarter dime size chunks can get traced throughout the carpet and house, sticky to kitty paws, so I recommend staying on top of cleaning it). It retains moisture. It doesn't seem to overwhelm my nostrils, and if cats sense of smell is stronger than people's, them it could very well be easier on the cats as well. Me and my cat are happier and possibly healthier because of this wonderful material! Perk: CHECK TO MAKE SURE, FOR SURE...but I believe it's also flushable ... don't quote me on that, it's what my client mentioned. -M

Best litter ever! No really.
Super soft is the version of this litter my cats love, maybe even more than anything! 😱 At first I thought the smaller grain might make a mess, but it doesn't. I do use a litter mat, but this barely tracks anywhere (if you have a wild crazy cat who kicks everything out your results may vary, but I have no issues). It's not painful for them or me to step on if I do have to clean any stray litter up once in a while. They seem to like the feel and smell of it. It has pretty much zero smell. If anything, there might be a very very light natural smell, but not like other natural litters I've tried that reeked of woodchips or something. And that's just if you put your face right up to it and try to smell it. It has ZERO odor after my cats use it. My house never smells like cat pee. Guests say, "I didn't even know you had a cat!" We have two! And one is a giant! Now, we do still get some odors from our Himalayan because she doesn't always cover her poop because she is a princess and she can't be bothered. But, we recently adopted a Maine coon and he loves to dig, and even though he has his own litter box, he is a gentleman of culture and he goes and covers up our princess's leavings for her. He's just that kind of guy! As others said, wait 5-10 minutes or so after your cat pees to give this litter a chance to clump. It does clump super well! It's just not as instant as some litters. What I LOVE about it is that once it does clump, it leaves very little soiled litter behind (if any) so what remains in the litterbox stays clean smelling for up to a week or so. I scoop the litterboxes daily and try to change out the litter every 5-7 days because I never want my friends to have to step on anything yucky. This litter is high quality. There might be cheaper litters, but we feel the value for money ratio is excellent. We probably go through about a box every month with 2 big litterboxes for our beauty and her beast. With one cat it was about a box purchased every 1.5-2 months. With any litter, change it out completely if it ever smells bad, and try to do that sooner rather than later. This litter is a champ. Flushable? YES!!! It scoops well, but like others said, don't fill your toilet to the brim scooping all of the clumps in at once and expect them all to flush. I scoop 2-3 clumps in, then flush and I've only ever clogged the toilet by trying to flush way more than that. If you do accidentally scoop too much into the toilet at once, you can wait a few minutes and the clumps should start to dissolve enough to try clumping, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so just take the advice, partner! I'm just glad this does flush because I don't have a convenient dumpster near my condo to walk bags out to the trash daily. Maybe I will try a litter genie soon to save water, though. But, in the meantime, it's nice that this litter does flush and is natural and biodegradable. We have tried lots of litter brands in the past and this is by far the best one. There might be a couple of clay or crystal brands that clump faster, but this really has pretty much no dust and we like that we're not causing ourself or our cats to breath anything iffy. I used to like World's Best cat litter, but now I don't know what I was thinking because this is so much better. This litter is also just super clean. We never have anything sticking to the litterbox. It works. If you're debating what to get, I don't think you could be disappointed with this. And I use a scoop mostly, but I do also have a sifting litterbox I use from time to time and Super soft works with the sifter easily. A little extra tapping compared to clay maybe. Pros: • No smell (or light clean smell. No fragrance. No allergy triggers for me) • clumps well. Not the fastest clump, not the slowest. Leaves hardly any soiled litter behind. Hard round clumps without stragglers. • my himi and my maine coon both love it • soft for their feet, nice to dig • less mess. Doesn't stick to their fur much if at all. Easily caught by litter mat • works with scoop or sifter • no dust in the air • dries out poop well • flushable (within reason) • lasts a week before needing full change with daily scooping (my bf says 9 days, I prefer 5, 7 is totally fine) Cons: • Not the fastest clump, but from 0 clumping to 10 being the best mega clumping, I still give this a 9. It can't beat clays for speed, so if you scoop right after your cat pees, like instantly, you might get that one clump kind of falling apart if it is still moist, but usually not. It still clumps super well on a regular basis. Firm easily scooped clumps. • I would like it to be less expensive, but I would like everything to be less expensive. • that's it! I rarely leave reviews for cat litter, but I have purchased this litter over a dozen times and my bf has purchased it for us about 100 times, so it's definitely our favorite. Every now and then we test a new litter just to make sure we still have the best. We even set two boxes out for our cats to choose, and they keep choosing Okocat. Yay!

Best litter I’ve found
My vacation loves this litter. I’ve used several different ones, clumping, pine pellets and regular clay litter. He sneezed on most of them, then he got to the point he wouldn’t use the box. He’s an older cat, so his paws are tender, so switched to this super soft litter. He now uses the box and covers the poo when he’s done. It’s expensive but it’s lasting a long time and he’s happy with it, so worth it to me. Not dusty, and controls the odors and clumps really well, so no waste. I’ll continue using it. On his second bag.

All told, much better than traditional clay
Update after 6 moths: Still really like this litter. Zero urine smell even with the box going 2 days & the cat pees several times a day (clumping litter is great for keeping tabs on that). Do you smell poops? Of course. No litter prevents that right after the cat poops. Are your poops odorless? No. But the litter dries the poops out quickly and there is no lingering poop smell. Yes, it tracks - a lot. Yes, it's very dusty but it's not the fine dust of clay. But still very dusty - just being honest. There's a film on everything near the box. The top entry box is a must with this litter & there is still lots of little particles outside the box, but again, it's physics. If you want a soft wood-based litter that clumps, you have to compromise on something. This clumps really well. Update after 3 months: Odor control: Really quite good. One cat household. Male. One litter box. Clumping: the secret seems to be you have to keep enough litter in the box. We had been using a regular litter pan & only putting about 1.5" of litter because the little devil would kick so much out while digging. And then the clumps would be pancakes stuck to the bottom that we'd have to scrape off. Switched to a top entry box where we can keep the litter deeper - about 4" - and now we get perfect spheres. And the clumps stay clumped. Dust: Have to amend this to say this litter is more than a little dusty. With the top entry box, you can now see the dust adhered to the inside of the box. We will try the larger particle Okocat next time (bigger particles than this soft paws stuff, smaller than pellets) as we've decided we like the clumping litter. Tracking: Light tiny bits of wood so yeah, it tracks. Short haired cat. Most stays close to the box, but if tracking is a deal breaker for you, probably try the other version of clumping Okocat or the pellets. Original Review: We have a 4 month old kitten that's been using traditional non-clumping clay as starter litter. HATE the fragrance. HATE the dust. God, the dust. So terrible for lungs. Ours & the cat's. And it's worse because this cat likes to get in the box and go nuts digging & moving the litter into mini-mountains. Just for fun. We tried pine pellets which we'd used with all our other cats in the past, but the little menace wanted to eat them. (I swear we did not pray for patience.) So we went looking for something that was similar in consistency to clay but wood. I'm sure the cat would eat corn or wheat litter so that was never even considered. PROS: Very little dust & what dust there is settles fast Super light - makes it easy to move the box & empty it Almost no scent at all & what scent there is is basically a faint fresh lumber smell Texture is very fine (see photos) so Mr. Picky Pants doesn't try to eat it or act like he's being asked to walk on hot coals So far, good odor control (urine & feces) even after 2 weeks CONS: Tracks like CRAZY (see photos) - cat's boxes are in the condo & most stays in there, though Clumps are not super strong - you have to be very gentle with the scooping Sometimes the clumps stick to the bottom of the pan & break up when trying to release them We put out one box of regular clay and one of this. We didn't mix them. I hate that. Over a week, he gradually moved to using the Okocat mostly. He's still using the clay some, but he's doing all his business in the Okocat to some degree. We'll take away the clay next week and see what happens. We are considering making our own top entry box from a rubbermaid container for him to see if that cuts down on the tracking (and because he'll probably start spray-peeing soon). I expected the tracking - you can't make something this fine & light & not expect it to track. Our cat is short haired. I can only imagine what a long haired cat would be like... What they need to work on is the clumping. I know from reading about the product, they say you should wait an hour before trying to scoop pee. But in my experience, if you wait too long (like overnight pee), the clumping gets weaker. maybe due to evaporation of the liquid. Dunno.

I have used this litter for nearly one year and it is just fantastic. Yes it tracks and yes you have to sweep once a day ( 2 cat home ) but that is nothing when you compare to the clay brands. This brand does not stink! if anything I catch whiffs of lumber, and I dont mind that at all. One of my cats paws cant handle the crappy clay litter brands, I spent a fortune ($50) on one bag of recycled paper pellets before finding this one and the pellets are THE WORST. You cant scoop and sift it, you cant tell which pellets are filled with urine etc. so I gave it away. The super soft wood in this product does not bother either of my cats paws. It is totally flushable! Just watch you dont drop a big bomb into the toilet or it may plug, but is easily cleared with a plunger ;) It does track but what litter doesnt ( or is perfect?) It lasts a long time, I use about 1 $30 box per month for 2 cats and 2 litter boxes!! I will never go back to that gross clay stuff that embeds and sticks in between the paw pads and in the paw fur (causing infection in my cats paw more than once, vet bills!) I honestly rate this 10 out of 10. Just buy a broom or vacuum the tracked stuff once a day and you will love it too :)

This litter is the best I've tried at covering poo smells. It absorbs pee quickly and clumps nicely. However, the litter itself has a scent that isn't particularly pleasant, and our biggest problem with it is that it tracks EVERYWHERE! We mainly have carpets in our apartment and we were finding it in the carpet, as well as in/on our furniture. It gets stuck to socks/slippers and is incredibly tricky to remove from slippers especially. It's quite expensive for how much you get, and so I wouldn't recommend it from a cost point of view. Another solid option was "Ever Clean Extra Strong Clumping Cat Litter" but they changed their formula as the company was bought out, and I can't recommend it as a result. I'm not sure if this is an issue from Amazon.co.uk yet. We have tried multiple other litters and this was the best for odour control, but the tracking is too much of a problem for us. We have since switched to using a sifting litter tray (PeeWee EcoGranda) with wood pellets that we buy from B&M. This is a LOT cheaper and doesn't track anywhere near as much, but there is virtually no odour control apart from the smell of the wood itself.

The litter is just as advertised. It clumps well, easy to clear and flush down the toilet. It also covers cat litter fully and the smell pretty well. It is soft to the paws too. But the tracking is way too high. I have wood fibre all over my house now.

Doesn't leave dust like many other cat litters and this one is flushable apparently ( though not done that )

Surprisingly clumps cat urine very well. Our cat eats wet food and his poo stinks terribly. Only one cat litter controlled better and that was silica crystals, but they also absorbed urine which we didn't find clean. We've moved our cat box outside and invested in a cat flap, so will continue to use despite smell control. Hopefully this is sustainable wood?
