These energy liquid gels have been a total game-changer for my long runs. They’re super easy to carry and digest, giving me a quick boost exactly when I need it without any stomach upset. Kept me going during my last marathon, easy to drink, pleasant taste and did not cause any GI distress. The packets were also easy to open on the go. Well worth the price.

Typically gels will upset my stomach but these don’t. They go down super easy because they’re very liquid like. Tastes like super strong lemonade. Very effective, didn’t feel fatigued during my marathon and was overall very pleased with these

This is the only running gel I've ever used, so I don't have much to compare it to. However, from what I've read, the majority of running gels require you to take them with water and some can be rather gummy, which is exactly why I picked GU's Liquid Energy. The consistency is sort of a combo of Jello and melted lemonade ice pops, so it's very easy to consume. I like the flavor, although it is really quite sweet, but then it sort of has to be. Gave me a nice boost towards the end of my 20-mile training run. Didn't experience any stomach issues.

I was surprised when I opened the box. They are much larger than normal GU energy gels. They take up more space in your cycling jersey pocket and weigh more, which could be annoying if you need to carry 3 or 4 for a long ride. Unlike a regular gel that you can squeeze into your mouth while riding, these are fussy; you need to stop and empty the pack with care if you want to get most of the product out and not make a mess. Taste and function is fine. I’ll use them until there’re gone, not carrying more than one on a ride, but won’t purchase again.

These are my favorite gels! They are liquid so it goes down like water. Nothing to chew on and not sticky. No stomach discomfort! I prefer the no caffeine version. I run marathons and always pack these!
