Buy it before you need it
Honestly the patch was easy to install, and the tire is holding air. Granted I am being hit up by Amazon to rate the transaction the day after I received it, so I have no long-term experience with this product. The instructions are easy to comprehend and follow. Everything in the kit functions as it is supposed to, as in the sandpaper actually works and doesn't fall apart when you use it to scuff the tire. The glue and applicator tips work as intended. I think it took me about 15 minutes in total to make my repair and I took my time and read the instructions, prepped the area, glued the slash, prepped area for actual patch, applied glue to TIRE, and then applied the patch holding it for 30 seconds to ensure bond. It stated to wait an hour before filling, but I waited overnight since I wasn't in a rush. I have no doubts that the repair would be solid in 1 hour, heck it would probably be ready in 15 minutes. I inflated my tire and checked for leakage around the slash repair, and no leaks were found. It was a positive experience. It is a simple product with a straightforward process that I feel didn't require any special skills or tools besides an air compressor. You get 4 patches in the kit I purchased, and I feel like I got a good value with this kit.

It really works - Regular Car Tires
Someone slashed both front tires of my 2007 BMW 750Li side walls (each about 3/4 inch long). Followed instructions on the package and really sanded the puncture area extensively (made sure the puncture area surface all sanded and even). Applied the glue first on the punctured cut and then applied glue droplet using the narrow adapter provided with the kit (25 droplets per square inch). Placed the patch and pressed on it for about a minute and let it dry for about 3 hours. Tested both tires with soapy water and there were no leaks. This morning drove the car to HomeDepot to run chores and drove back (about 10 miles round trip) and had no problem at all. Will post additional feedback as the time goes on. But what I can say now is that this product is really amazing and it really works. Great product. UPDATE #1: It is almost a week after fixing the tires. No pressure loss of either two front tires as of today (27 Feb 2024). Drove about 20 miles round trip today and had no issues with the repaired tires. So far so good. UPDATE #2: Both front tires started leaking air after about 10 days. It appears that it is not a long term solution for fixing tires. Ordered more GlueTread glue only (pack of 3 for $6) and replaced a patch on on tire and re-glued it again and peeled of a part of second patch and added more glue. Will update again after a few test run.

Great value, tough product
This works great on atv tires. Let us get another years use out of them. Easy to apply and never tore off even in rocky trails. Will definitely buy again.

Best thing for a damaged sidewall
Ok, this might be a longer review, but hopefully this helps. My experience is coming from polaris turbo r 4 ultimate. I am running 35x10x15 inch tires that are DOT rated. The quality of the tire is subpar for my liking. They are a harder compound being that they are for street use. I was climbing up some ledges and sliced the sidewall of the tire. I did not use the patch to get back, I just switched to my spare and kept going. I got home and my wife was not really happy with me because the tires are almost new and they were a present for Christmas. I was going to buy a new set of tires almost immediately, but my wife asked me not til spring. So I tried figuring out what I could do to keep me riding in the mean time. I bought some tread glue hoping it will get me to spring. I did not trust patching the sidewall and I definitely was afraid to put my wife and kids in the machine with a patched sidewall until I was able to prove it out. Long story short I took it out to moab and did trails fins and things and hells revenge and I was not being easy on the machine. I took the hardest lines and usually hit it with speed to really test the patch. It handled it like a champ. I didnt peel the edges of the patch. The one thing I will say is I had a lot of time to prep the tire and make sure I gave it the best chance it had to succeed. I would probably not use the patch instead of a spare, unless I was not able to carry a spare or just didnt have one yet. The prep work can be semi tedious and you need to put the patch on a smooth surface. So you will have to sand off lettering and sidewall lugs. However, if you are trying to save a tire for a little bit until you get new ones this is the product for you. I am still hesitant to put my wife and kids in the machine with me on a very difficult trail. Nothing is safer then replacing the tires but this is definitely the next best thing.

Emergency- Yes / Longevity- NO
Update: 28 Apr. So for a month sitting on the trailer, the tire was fine, no change in the tire air pressure. After the first time driving on it (on pavement for a fundraiser), the next day loss air pressure. Aired it up and sprayed water on it, sure enough its leaking all around the patch. Because I did everything the way the instructions said (as you can see from my pictures), I definitely don't think this is a user error. I think it's just made to get you out of the woods, but definately not made to be an alternate for a tire replacement or for longevity. I still end up having to buy a tire. Original rating post: Had a mishap at RayRocks in Rayville, MO, but luckily it was at the end of our day anyways. Underwater rock sliced the sidewall, so we gimped back and loaded it up. Once home I looked for viable options rather than buying new tires and ran across this product. ** NOTE** I did this application with my SxS still on the trailer, without removing the wheel. You can see the damage before starting, during the process and the after look. I had to cut part of the side tread in order to get a flat mounting surface. I used a pneumatic 1/4 in. Angle Die Grinder with disc to level the whole area (so much easier than doing it by hand). Followed the directions and traced around the patch to get my glue area, applied glue in the grid dot pattern (as best I could). Applied the patch, holding it in place for about a minute (directions said only 30 sec). After an hour I put air in it and tested, No Leaks. Aired the tire to 25 PSI to test for overnight leak or loss of PSI. Waited over 24 hrs and checked with gauge, same PSI. $25 patch kit vs $200 new tire. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Came with four patches and extra glue tips, so those are going into my SxS tool kit for next time.

THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT TIRE REPAIR.
THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT TIRE REPAIR. I’m reading many reviewers that thought this would permanently repair sidewall damage. If you have sidewall damage your tire is done! No repair, must replace. This kit is for when you are miles out in the woods and suffer sidewall damage where a plug won’t work. The idea is that it will get you back to civilization. After that, you buy a new tire.
