![Terminator: Dark Fate [Blu-Ray] [Region Free] (English audio. English subtitles)](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91DFk9halBL.jpg)

Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta. Review: Great film - Love Terminator films and I enjoy buying blurays to watch whenever I feel like it. Review: Cameron doing what he does best, with his Sci Fi baby. Special effects, Action, emotion and no fate. - This is a four and a half star movie.... I've read so many bad reviews about this it's scary. I was a teenager when The terminator came out.... This was a b rated movie at the time and became a classic. I loved it as it was sci fi action. The stars and director at the time said it was a love story, and if you watch it esp Cameron's uncut version of is. T2 was amazing at the time, special effects, action, all the stars back including a ghostly Carl. But it Rewrote the ending of the first one in what it did..... Did we question. No w we loved it for what is was, which was popcorn best, ground-breaking no as Cameron had used the effects in The Abyss, which like the first terminator very few saw at the cibema...... In recent years it kinda got lost for what the original was..... Human emotions, love, sacrifice, Fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial... Etc wrapped up in Sci Fi.. So Terminator Dark Fate.... It brings back Cameron.... Hamilton.... Arnie..... It brings back a love lost, a love for a family/friends, human emotions, fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial.... So tick.. It adds revenge, a ghost from the past, sorrows for loss in a bottle, an anger for sacrifice, a remorse, a will to earn forgiveness without asking for it.... Plus the basic ghostly copy of a younger Sarah model who looses much, and realises she has so much more to loose... In effect this is Cameron.... This is a complex story that clearly continues on From T2... At first did I like the start...hmmmm. But in reflection if T2 happened after T1 then it's only logical that the opening happened, which sets up a human story.. In fact you could argue a role reversal for the two main stayers. It doesn't take the action long... And if we look at the world to day, why can't the T2 ending result in this. The two and a half from the future are brilliant, and it's good to see the medical weakness in one of them. The chases are brilliant as usual. Hamilton is brilliant as a n alcohol fuelled hunter... With visions of grandeur. Arnie is brilliant... Way more lines than T2 and T1 together. But it works...seeing him talk about carpets and draps is so funny. But the nod to Carl is a nice touch by the terminator (and cameron) By the end I was drained, entertained and got everything I have enjoyed from Cameron's action films... If you liked True Lies, Aliens, and T1 and T2, we're around in the 80s.. Then this is for you. If you believe that T2 is untouchable then don't watch this. But I am sure if you're a sci fi fan, an action Fan, or Terminator fan you will love this. Put it on, grab some popcorn and switch off and Get on board Cameron's action train...

Bit more Arnie would have been good .
I came to this as an Arnie fan of his whole career and owner of all the discs of his whole career. I hadn't rushed to the cinema to see it as I now prefer watching all films in the comfort of my own home. I was a bit concerned at the negative reviews but approached my viewing with as open a mind as possible and on balance I think it is an excellent if not outstanding film. My criteria for a good movie is that it must absorb me for its entire length, it should entertain me, probably make me laugh and cry in equal measure and I should want to watch it again. As an Arnie fan there is a good chance it will be ok but I will qualify this to deal with all the negative reviews. It was great to see both Arnie and Linda H reprising their roles albeit in the guise of the characters from T2. I thought the supporting cast were ok but the bad terminator was ,I feel miss cast which was a shame. Most of the first hour consisted of what I would call production violence like a computer game and wasn't particularly valuable. from the moment Arnold' s character appears as the humanized older man, the whole film shifted to a higher level and the story became far more meaningful with the inevitable T2 type heroic ending. I appreciate the need for the first half of the film but we probably could have got there much quicker and still enjoyed the main , second half. Folk who have complained about the re writing of the whole terminator concept should try and understand that it is only Science fiction and is only an entertainment . In the end does it really matter if the characters are interesting and I would suggest that both of the original ones are and continue to be so. As long as the Arnold character continues to appear in films I will continue to watch them and no doubt enjoy them, if not take any such stuff too seriously!!!Definitely worth watching!!

The best and worst Terminator film since T2
Like most terminator fans I was excited about the return of James Cameron to the franchise he created way back in 1984. And what was being said about this being a direct sequel to T2 and ignoring the previous three films helped me to believe this would be great and the best news, Linda Hamilton was returning. But the warning signs were there, James Cameron was one of the few people who praised Terminator Genisys and the direction it took. Also the fact that Deadpool director Tim Miller was at the helm was also good. But then I went to see the film and discovered that this was not a continuation of the story after T2 but just another reboot. And the start looked promising, Linda Hamilton from T2 explaining the events of judgement day for about a minute and a half. Three minutes later of course the unthinkable, John Connor(Edward Furlong) is shot and killed by a terminator, the same make and model as the first two. This act renders T1 and T2 pointless and seems to be used only as a way to get Annie into this thing as ridiculous as the plot hole it creates. How could this terminator exist if skynet was defeated, was there more than one time displacement facility and the resistance just did not know. But my biggest issue with the death of John Connor is that it was Cameron’s idea. Remember back in 1992 when Alien 3 was released and Newt and Hicks were killed in the opening credits and fans of Aliens and JC himself were not happy about it at all(I was one of them by the way). So given the reaction then what made JC think he could get away with it with the terminator now? And it is a shame because this is the best made terminator movie since T2 and gets a lot of things right, mostly the return to an adult rating the terminator was never meant to be family friendly. Linda Hamilton is the best thing in the film despite what was done to her character. Arnold is also good but his terminator story arc in the film is utterly unbelievable. Remember back in T2 when John Connor had to pull out the terminator’s processor and alter it so the the terminator could learn to be more human, clearly the writers of this movie did not. Turning one of the best movie villains ever created into a drapes salesman just for laughs is unforgivable. Mackenzie Davis as Grace an upgraded human protector from the new even darker future puts in a fine performance given the limits of her character and do not get me started on how pointless the subplot of Grace needing several medications regularly because of her upgrades and how Sarah Connor is able to guess the dosage of each of these which makes this subplot pointless as well. Gabriel Luna is convincing as the Rev 9, he clearly watched Robert Patrick’s T1000 from T2 for inspiration. Natalia Reyes as Dani the new saviour of the human race is pretty good but the scenes of her in the future do not do her any favours. The action and special effects are well produced but the OTT sequence on the plane feels out of place and only there to increase the spectacle. So overall a good film that could have been great if it was what it said it was going to be a continuation of T1 and T2 and not what we got a Genisys inspired reboot of a classic that fails to hit the same heights and if James Cameron cannot save the terminator franchise maybe it is time to say hasta la vista baby!

Best since the original
Terminator: Dark Fate basically renewed my faith in this completely. I had heard about it, but refused to touch it, for the simple reason that Terminator 2 put me off the entire thing. It was nothing more than a special effect show, with a few impressive scenes, however, that does not make a great movie and Sarah Connor had none of the endearing qualities from the original. She had just become arrogant and self-centred, interested only in abusing Dyson. Oh, leave him alone, you're not the centre of the universe, woman! Even her son had a pop back at her. It put me off completely and I lost interest in any Terminator film after that. I find it annoying that the sequel is held in such high regard, when I think it's the worst one of the lot, but hey, to each their own I guess. This is partly why Terminator: Dark Fate is such a pleasure to rave about. I think it is possibly the best one so far, even better than Terminator 3, which thankfully didn't have Sarah in it, but it did have a female terminator, the gorgeous Kristanna Loken, so it renewed my faith in it a little. Then this one comes along and we have Sarah back in it, but her son does get terminated and she is kind of on the back burner and the new super-soldier, who is keeping the target safe doesn't like her. She can join the club. The plot is decent and it has some brilliant sequences and is terrifically directed by Tim Miller. I know that Cameron returns as producer for this, but I couldn't care less about him and he is responsible for the overrated sequel, so I owe him nothing. Abuse this review all you like by the way if you want, I don't care. The best thing about this movie for me is Mackenzie Davis, who is excellent as the super-soldier sent back to help the girl saviour, Dani and she has some great battles with the new terminator, played by Gabriel Luna. The battle at the end too, between the deadly new terminator and the others, the super-soldier, Grace, Dani, the old terminator and Sarah, is just brilliant. It gives me great pleasure to say that I loved this from start to finish and now have it on Blu ray. I have no time for the reviews that slam it, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Pity they couldn't have slammed the sequel like that. Just goes to show, you can't rely on other reviews really, always make your own mind up. So glad I gave it a chance. Go, Grace!

In tact, friendly delivery.
The five star rating is for the delivery service, as I got my Blu-Ray in-tact, in one piece and very early. I was expecting on April 2nd, but to my surprise it came the day after I ordered it and I didn't even pay for express delivery. I couldn't believe how fast it got to my door. That's why I ordered two more blu-rays. Five star service... The film on the other hand is not five stars, it's good, it's entertaining and is definitely an action packed sci-fi romp. But this is still a far cry from topping the original two from 1984 and 1991, however it does trump the last couple films of the franchise. I'm really glad to see James Cameron producing and to see the R rating again but it could've been better, but it's a worthy addition to the franchise which a lot of people say should've been terminated a long time ago. But not me. I'm intrigued to what they'll do next.
