Fantastic upgrade!
Great kit! Had a steering wheel vibration in my 1999 4Runner Limited 2WD. Got under the truck and started removing the old bushings it was pretty obvious why: they were all shot, and some parts were even missing. Installing this kit is pretty straightforward, and the directions are okay. There's a really good how-to on youtube to help with the install if you want to see what you are getting yourself in for. Be warned: you will need to rent some tools to get this done. Also, the bolts are pretty large (like 21 or 23 mm) so you will need to either buy new some sockets or borrow some from a friend if you don't have the sizes. Using the video I mentioned will show you exactly what you need and when you need it. I did need to rent a ball joint press from a local auto parts store. There's one OEM bushing in particular that is stupid hard to remove, and the only way I was able to was with the ball joint press (also recommended in the video). I did not remove my sway bar for this, so it is do-able with the sway bar in place. However, if you are also replacing the bushings on your sway bar, then remove the sway bar to make some additional room and put it back on AFTER you finish the steering rack. Once done, the steering wheel feels nice and firm again, no vibrations at all. What an improvement! Also of note: some places listed this part as NOT fitting my 99 4Runner. This is incorrect. This part DOES fit. In fact, I'd wager it would fit all 3rd Gen 4Runners since I doubt Toyota would change it's steering rack. However, *I do NOT know for sure!* So you still need to check your application. I can, however, confirm that is DOES fit a 99 4Runner.

Well worth the money
Installed this kit on my 2004 tacoma. My steering seemed really loose and upon jacking the front end up and moving the wheel back and fourth by hand it was pretty obvious the problem was the whole steering rack moved side to side a pretty considerable amount because the stock rubber bushings were shot. I installed this kit a few months ago and noticed the difference immediately. Steering was much smoother, more responsive and I no longer felt like the truck was trying to run itself into a ditch when driving on bumpy roads. It was relatively easy to install. there are plenty of how to guides online you can read before hand. I put grease on all the bushings when I installed them and have not yet heard any noises but it as only been a few months. Kit comes with some instructions but I did not follow them much. All the parts fit perfectly and seemed good quality!

Ten dollars cheaper on amazon and you get it in 2 days instead of a week
Nice kit. Was able to install the kit without unhooking the tie rod ends . The big bushing on the far left knocks out easy with a punch. The center bushing i pushed out with my ball joint press. The one on the far right just slips off and on.The center bushing bolt you need to break loose with a breaker bar and a 19 mm then then use a flexhead 19 mm wrench to finish getting it off. This install was on a 1998 third gen forerunner

Works great, make sure you have proper tools to make this as easy as possible
Product worked as expected. Extremely tight fit but that's expected with polyurethane, this stuff really has NO give. If you're gonna do this job make sure you have some kind of bushing puller or press tool, don't think you'll just be able to easily hammer or drill these bushings out. If you do, this is an hour job at most, if not, several hours. I cannot speak for the longevity yet but based on how the bushings felt when installing them, I think they'll last quite a while. Most shops will ask you to change the rack when the bushings go but this is a pretty cost effective way to fix your problems. I was not able to hold an alignment as my bushings were so shot the rack would move just from barely turning the wheel, no more problems after this.

Great Fit, Tightened Up Steering
Serious improvement after install. 1st gen 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4WD. Some tips... make sure to jack the vehicle's tires off the ground, secure on jack stands and with wheel chocks, and lock steering wheel. No need to remove sway bar unless you want to, but remove skid plate (obviously). Tools needed: Socket wrench and breaker bar (1/2"). 19mm and 22mm sockets. Large screwdriver may help knock out old bushings. Rubber mallet or other hammer. Pry bar of some kind is helpful. Silicone spray. 1/8 " or so drill bit and drill to rim out old bushings and destroy for removal. Plus, whatever you normally use to raise your front end and remove wheels. It can be very tricky to get the steering rack lined back up with the bolt holes. Start with the middle bushing because it's the hardest, but it's easier with some silicone on the mating surfaces. Then rough fit the right side and maybe even start the bolts. Finally, line up the left side and knock the long bolt into place with the mallet. Then jump back and forth tightening all the bolts back up, perhaps staggering to make sure you suck it up perfectly into place before tightening any single bolt all the way. That worked for me. I did not need any special tools, or rental tools, or presses. Just the larger sockets. Amazing difference!

Great for 1998 Toyota 4Runner
This part fit my 1998 3rd Gen 4Runner Limited 4x4. The existing rubber bushings were rotted from a leaking valve gasket cover. Big difference in the handling. No more vibrating when going over little bumps, and steering is much tighter. Remember to lock up your steering wheel before attempting. Don’t bother disconnecting the tie rod ends or the sway bar, you don’t need to do all that to install these.
