The first thing that I noticed when I opened the package for this pump was the compact size of it. I had an Ameda pump for my first two pregnancies (got the pump 7 years ago) and I loved everything about it except for the larger size of the motor part. I couldn't easily move around while pumping, and this made it difficult to take care of two young children at the same time. However, the MYA Joy pump has a handheld unit that can be powered by batteries and clipped right to my waist! I love it! I also really like that it has a digital screen on the front (my original pump had a dial to turn). This makes it a lot easier to customize the suction and makes it very user friendly. I also appreciate that Ameda includes a full set of extra parts for the pieces that need replaced over the course of the first few months (to keep everything sanitary). This takes the stress away of worrying about ordering extra parts in the beginning. Overall, I have had great experiences with Ameda pumps and I am eager to use this one. Ameda pumps are reliable, last a long time, have great suction, and work very well. I would highly suggest the MYA Joy pump to any new mom who is in search of a great breast pump.

(female user of this household account) - This pump is super lightweight and perfect for throwing in the diaper bag and returning to work! It's much quieter than my other pump and despite its smaller size it is still very powerful and quite user friendly. Another wonderful feature is that it tracks the time spent pumping which I really love too! I love the pump so much that its now my primary! I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Loved the 2 modes and how easy it is to operate But it's too bad the cones are only 25 or 28 and if you need the smaller size you need to order it separately. It's very powerful, I use level 8 out of 12. Very quite (I had an older Ameda pump) and works great on batteries if you need to travel

The Ameda Mya Joy is a great pump! It is convenient, portable, really not that loud, and small. It’s so much easier to carry around than my big plug-in wall pump. My only qualm is that the stimulation suction power isn’t very strong and takes awhile to stimulate a let-down, but this is offset from great suction in expression mode. Overall I think this is a great little pump!

If you have ever used a breast pump, you know how difficult it can be to be tied to it and immobile, especially with a new baby nearby. This pump is fantastic for pumping on the go (car) or around your house. The pump has A LOT more power than other portable ones I’ve used. It is super easy to put together and learn to use. Again, much easier than other portable pumps I’ve tried. My favorite feature is that the display screen shows you how long you’ve been pumping! (A pumping mom must have designed that! Soooo helpful!) Oh I forgot to mention it comes with replacement parts!! Such a nice surprise when I opened the box!

This pump is totally defective. I used it a few times until it read “lo” battery — I’ve attempted to charge it on multiple outlets and the unit will never recharge. The worst part is there is no battery life indicator so you never know how full or empty the pump battery is. Would give this zero stars if possible.

I used to have the old Ameda Mya Joy, where is cake with a battery pack inside it, to where you could just plug it in and it would recharge. That is now the down fall with this upgrade, yes it’s portable but those 4 AA batteries only last 24 hours. So it’s gonna get expensive to be portable. My older model started to turn itself off, and I was very hopeful this model would be just had awesome as that one. Not really the case.

Primero que nada, llegó el paquete antes del tiempo previsto, en excelentes condiciones. Cuenta con todo lo que viene en la descripción y en las imagenes que subí incluso viene una bolsa con muestras de protectores de lactancia y un sobresito de crema lanolina. El instructivo tiene la opción del idioma español. Vienen repuestos. Actualmente no lo he usado porque no nace mi bebe pero en cuanto a material, empaque, calidad y envío sí lo recomiendo.

Muy buena compra, el extractor es fácil de usar y tiene variedad de velocidades para no lastimar.

Trabaja bien para el precio en el que lo compre. Aunque no lo use mucho y me duró unos 6 meses solamente, después se descompuso y dejo de succionar. 7/10
