Review: Proper stuff, sorted my dryer out! - Finally got round to replacing the rubbish old ducting on me tumble dryer, the old one was practically made of cobwebs and hope. This AC Infinity stuff is a different kettle of fish altogether! It's really sturdy, you can tell its got those four layers they talk about. Was a bit of a wrestle getting it connected up, like trying to tame a shiny silver python, but once it was on with a couple of jubilee clips, it felt solid. The 8 feet length was more than enough, had a bit to spare. Dryer seems to be working more efficient now too. Well chuffed. Will work well for residential ducting. **Q: What is the highest temperature that this can withstand? I am looking at hooking it to an industrial ink dryer where the temp can be continuous 550+** A: For that application, I wouldn't even advise Type B double-wall gas vent pipe. Contact Selkirk (by Duravent) or do a web search for the website, and take a look at their all stainless steel wood stove (et cetera) chimney/exhaust pipe. It's multiple-walled, HEAVY duty pipe that is rated for continuous high temperature applications, and might just outlive you. Another brand is Metal-Fab Type L Vent Pipe for Oil Burning Appliances. Unlike the Selkirk stuff, I do not have any personal experience with this brand, but it's also rated for the temperatures you're working with (570F constant, with a 10-minute 1,700F safety "over-fire"). These types/brands of products not only hold up well to continuous high-temperature flow, they also (when installed/used properly) help protect the surrounding materials from the heat. **Q: Can the hose withstand negative 30 degree temperatures? I would like to have this go out the window.** A: I don't see it being a problem at all. It should be able to be pretty much water resistant to a point. Just remember if you start moving it back and forth and water is allowed to freeze you can rip it apart. **Q: Can you connect this to another length of ducting if you need to extend it?** A: Yes it’s just like any other duct should work great 😊 ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Proper stuff, sorted my dryer out! *by S***T on 2 June 2025* Finally got round to replacing the rubbish old ducting on me tumble dryer, the old one was practically made of cobwebs and hope.
