When it gets really cold (near 0 degrees or below), I use two liners - a silk one under these and stay nicely warm. I would NEVER consider using them without gloves; after all, they are liners and not made to hold up under heavy wear. They are thin and fit snugly. I have very large hands and ordered the X/XL size and the fit is perfect.A word of caution: All liners seem to be at odds with velcro and ski clothing tends to have lots of velcro. The goves stick to it and getting them lose from it may evertually make holes. Be VERY careful around velcro whith these and any glove liners (my silk ones are also suceptible to this). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Work great alone or as liners to a heavier glove *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2023* These gloves are well-designed and made. I use them primarily as gloves on cooler days, and on those rare days, the temperatures go below two digits, shells for my heavy-duty insulated outdoor gloves. I have relied on these gloves for four years now and don't see that changing anytime in the near future. I bought four because, like all liners, they eventually wear out at the most inopportune time. Now I have spares and am rid of that dilemma. The price was below what I could buy them for in my local stores, and delivery was faster than promised. I can recommend them to anyone considering liners ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Do the job, better for slight chill than real cold *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2012* I have four pair of these, and I try to keep a pair in every jacket that I might wear in the winter time. They're reasonably priced, comfortable, and wash well.I find these are best used as light gloves on moderately chilly days (e.g., 35-45F, or a lower to 25 or 30 if it's not windy). They feel good and provide just enough extra warmth to work. If it's very cold, however, you will need real gloves.But as liners: I don't find that these add much. They make the gloves tight and add very little warmth over and above the gloves themselves. Silk liners are just as good for warmth in that situation but have a much better comfort and fit. (But silk liners are not as good for being light-weather glove stand-ins, due to fragility and thinness.)
