Complete and utter failure of a product. Don't waste your time, money, and foot in the fridge!
The freezer side my fridge was too cold. It was a problem because I couldn't scoop the ice cream! So I decided to fix the problem and ordered two of these thermisters. Having too much trust in the rating of the product, I neglected to test the purchased sensors and installed them. The size of the new sensors are too big, and I had to drill out one of the locations where the old sensor was. After getting the new sensors installed, everything seemed to work. Hours later, I checked the fridge, and the temperature was too warm. The ice cream was easy to *pour* out! Then, I checked the specifications of the sensors. Wrong value! As in completely wrong, not even in the right ballpark! Did I order the wrong part? Nope, double and triple checked, it was the right part for a Kenmore 106.52552100 fridge. I just put the old sensors back so that at least the fridge is cold enough. I'll let it be too cold for a few days until I get the OEM sensors somewhere else. Obvious, I am returning this purchase!

Resistance reads at 3,050 ohms @ 72 deg F and 22,030 ohms @ 0 deg F, which is within spec for this particular model.

Incorrect resistance
Item came quickly and is well built. But when I measured resistance, it is out of spec. It read 9.0K ohms at 78F. It shall be around 2.7K ohms as I found from multiple sources on internet. What a disappointment. I really hoped that it worked.

Worked as expected!
Fridge was freezing up and running all the time. This little part fixed it and it is working like a champ! Do your research first to make sure this is your problem.
