Amazing price, I have had the Asus trix x670e-f and now b550-f, both have been great motherboards, nothing wrong with the b550 board, if you get it on discount price, it's worth it for the higher ram speeds than b450 and ,Ryzen 5000 series bios installed prior to sale

Ok, so i'm not a builder so i ask that you forgive my lack of correct lingo. The gent (Gazzy) I always use is awesome and did try to warn me off this board simply because its had only been out for 3 weeks when I ordered them(got 2). Its usually a good idea to go with something thats been out a year or so since you can make sure any bugs have been ironed out. Now, I just wanna say that after finally getting them to work they been wonderful . I'm a heavy VR user and mine has done everything I could have hoped for and more. I've got no complaints about performance. As some have mentioned the drivers supplied by asus made the installations of the boards a massive pain. 1 of them had a driver for the I225-V lan chip mislabelled in its bios that, both in the latest release that we flashed and the Bios that came pre installed. The board would boot to windows but would not recognise any network adaptors at all. So it was impossible to update framework. The other Board had the same issue, with the added bonus that it would not accept any display input, it would cycle through the available channel options and not work with any. In the end Gazzy took them home and greated his own bios that correct the errors. Now they work perfectly. Honestly, once Asus pull their fingers out to fix the bios issues these are gonna be amazing, they already are. As an added note, the Sata port placement is not the best, once my GPU(ROG strix 2060) was installed in the top slot it became extremely awkward, almost impossible to get a another cable in there. So my advice is, if you are even slightly thinking that you may add another internal drive at a later date I advice just plugging in a few sata cables beforehand and putting them out of the way. it'll save you alot of hassle. 4 stars at the moment, will increase to 5 if they fix the driver issues later on. 3 stars for installation for the sata ports and driver problems. Reading this it seems pretty negative and at odds with the 4 stars I gave it but really its a great bit of kit. Paired it with the Roc Strix2060, CM Aoi 240l oil cooler, and Ryzen 5 3600, Gazzy tested the setup with his vrchat and he didn't wanna part with it. His next build will be a duplicate of mine.

I needed a B550 motherboard as I was getting a Zen 3 Ryzen CPU, 5600x specifically, and wanted the option of a quick BIOS update for instant support. This motherboard has BIOS flashback so you do not need a CPU installed to update the BIOS to support the latest Zen 3 CPUs. I also wanted to have PCIe Gen 4.0 to give me the option to add a fast M.2 NVMe and a Gen 4.0 GPU in the future. I decided to purchase this board as it was very well reviewed and had all the features I needed, such as the PCIe Gen 4.0 I mentioned earlier, along with a great sound and networking chip. The connectivity is also better versus competitors from the likes of MSI, more rear USB 3.0 ports specifically. Additionally, the VRM performance is great and this board can easily handle serious overclocking whilst keeping cool, thanks to the beefy VRM and M.2 heatsinks. I also liked the aesthetic of the board and the reputation that comes with it. It is no secret that the ROG Strix lineup is admired across the board and known for its gaming aesthetic and features. Overall I believe this is a solid motherboard and a great choice for any gaming build, it represents excellent value for money and you get amazing performance. The go to choice!

J'ai acheté cette carte-mère pour remplacer ma TUF B550M qui a eu un soucis de court-circuit. La ROG m'a permis de mettre 4 barettes de ram DDR4 3600 C16 ( 4x8 ) alors que la TUF plantaient au delà de 2 barettes. J'ai vu ici que la qualté du circuit imprimé n'est pas la même sur les 2 séries. La partie son est aussi de meilleure qualité. Dorénavant je resterai sur cette gamme chez Asus.

New PC build. Board worked right out of the box. No issues at all! Easy install and bios is great.

GREAT working

Arrived a day before the advertised date, so good point about the delivery. As for the product itself, everything was easy to understand and install, including the little pads to put a "single-sided" M.2 SSD in, although the heatsink for the former was a bit confusing to reinstall (I had to look at the picture for a full minute to figure out the right way to put it back in) The pre-applied I/O shielding is a very nice touch, especially for my case. All in all, everything is fine so far. However, it would have been nice to have resealable bags for all the accessories, as for example I only need one screw for the m.2 and one pad for this one. I would also have appreciated a small bag of spacers, as one was missing which I had to make (I made a stack of washers and connected them together with electrical tape) and the same for the screws. The price was quite reasonable, so it remains to be tested if it works. I may update my comment on this later. EDIT: After 5 months of use, I can say several things: - No bugs or problems, everything works fine - The fan ports are maybe a bit misplaced, it's often gymnastics to plug the top case fan - Having 6 sata cables would also be nice considering the number of sata ports offered - Shifting one of the PCIe 1x ports above the first 16x port would also be nice and would not interfere with an SSD in any way - The installation of armoury crate was done automatically without any problem - The BIOS is intuitive and the options are easy to find In conclusion, an excellent motherboard that is very affordable but still powerful and complete. A very good move from Asus ---------- Arrivé un jour avant la date annoncée, donc bon point pour la livraison. En ce qui concerne le produit en lui-même, tout était facile à comprendre et à installer, y compris les petits coussinets pour mettre un SSD M.2 "unilatéral", bien que le dissipateur de chaleur pour le premier ait été un peu déroutant à réinstaller (il m'a fallu regarder la photo pendant une minute entière pour trouver la bonne façon de le remettre en place) Le blindage E/S pré-appliqué est une très belle touche, surtout pour mon cas. Dans l'ensemble, tout va bien jusqu'à présent. Cependant, il aurait été bien d'avoir des sacs refermables pour tous les accessoires, comme par exemple je n'ai besoin que d'une vis pour le m.2 et d'un seul tampon pour celui-ci. J'aurais également apprécié un petit sac d'entretoises, car il en manquait une que j'ai dû fabriquer (j'ai fait une pile de rondelles et je les ai reliés entre elles avec du scotch électrique) et la même chose pour les vis. Le prix était tout à fait raisonnable, il reste donc à tester si cela fonctionne. Je mettrai peut-être à jour mon commentaire à ce sujet plus tard. EDIT : Après 5 mois d'utilisation, je peux dire plusieurs choses: - Aucun bug ou problème, tout fonctionne correctement - Les ports ventilateurs sont peut-être un peu mal placés, c'est souvent la gymnastique pour brancher le ventilateur boîtier du haut - Avoir 6 câbles sata serait aussi bien vu le nombre de ports sata proposés - Décaler un des ports PCIe 1x au dessus du premier port 16x serait également appréciable et ne gênerait en aucun cas la présence d'un SSD - L'installation d'armoury crate s'est faite automatiquement sans aucun problème - Le BIOS est intuitif et les options se trouvent facilement En conclusion, une excellente carte mère très abordable mais tout de même puissante et complète. Un très bon coup de la part d'Asus ---------- Kam einen Tag vor dem angekündigten Termin an, also ein guter Punkt für die Lieferung. Was das Produkt selbst betrifft, so war alles einfach herauszufinden und zu installieren, einschließlich der kleinen Pads zum Einsetzen einer "einseitigen" M.2-SSD, obwohl der Kühlkörper für erstere ein wenig verwirrend war, um ihn wieder einzubauen (ich musste eine ganze Minute lang auf das Bild schauen, um herauszufinden, wie man ihn richtig wieder einbaut) Die vorapplizierte I/O-Abschirmung ist eine sehr nette Sache, besonders für meinen Fall. Alles in allem ist bis jetzt alles in Ordnung. Allerdings wäre es schön gewesen, wiederverschließbare Beutel für das gesamte Zubehör zu haben, da ich z.B. nur eine Schraube für die m.2 und ein Pad für diese brauche. Ich hätte mich auch über eine kleine Tüte mit Abstandshaltern gefreut, da mir einer fehlte, den ich selbst herstellen musste (ich habe einen Stapel Unterlegscheiben gemacht und sie mit Isolierband miteinander verbunden) und das Gleiche gilt für die Schrauben. Der Preis war recht günstig, es bleibt also zu testen, ob es funktioniert. Vielleicht aktualisiere ich meinen Kommentar dazu später. EDIT: Nach 5 Monaten Benutzung kann ich mehrere Dinge sagen: - Keine Bugs oder Probleme, alles funktioniert einwandfrei - Die Lüfteranschlüsse sind vielleicht ein wenig deplatziert, es ist oft Gymnastik, den oberen Gehäuselüfter anzuschließen - 6 Sata-Kabel zu haben wäre auch schön, wenn man die Anzahl der angebotenen Sata-Ports bedenkt - Das Verschieben eines der PCIe 1x Ports über den ersten 16x Port wäre auch schön und würde das Vorhandensein einer SSD in keiner Weise beeinträchtigen - Die Installation der Waffenkiste erfolgte automatisch und problemlos - Das BIOS ist intuitiv und die Optionen sind leicht zu finden Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass es sich um ein hervorragendes Motherboard handelt, das sehr erschwinglich und dennoch leistungsstark und vollständig ist. Ein sehr guter Schachzug von Asus
