Works Great on my 24 Year Old GE Stove
After 24 years of daily use, my GE stove burner almost caused a kitchen fire. I use my stove daily and it still had the original burners on it. I was making a pot of soup on the stove and noticed a small stream of smoke coming from under the pot. Removed the pot and - I guess with more air getting to it - the burner flamed on one of the rings. Actually, it more than flamed, it could have started a serious fire. I turned the burner off and grabbed a box of baking soda (I usually keep a large box in the pantry) and dumped it on the burner. Cleaning up, I noticed the burner was obviously wearing and there was a hairline crack where the flame started. ~ So what I've learned is that burners wear out and should be replaced after a number of years of use. ~ I found these burners for a great price and they arrived promptly. ~ I did have a bit of an issue fitting them into the stove, thought maybe I ordered the wrong size. But no, they are the right size. It did take me a few minutes of wiggling to make them fit properly. ~ Now I know this sounds crazy, but no directions. And really.... why would someone who knows how to use a stove need directions to replace burners? A very simple process. But I feel that there should have been a card or something to let me know that the first time I used the burners they would smoke up. They obviously have some sort of finish on them, I'm not sure if I should have wiped it off with a damp sponge, but I didn't realize there was a finish so I didn't do that. I just put them in and turned the stove on to see if they worked. They all put out a bit of smoke.... which is no problem if you are expecting it. It burned off in about a minute. Other than that, they deserve 5-stars overall.

Issue with smoking on turning on
Just a warning. These come in loose packages and the insert ends get bent so beware you will need to straighten the insert ends prior to using. The other issue is they smoke quite a bit when you turn the heat on so beware that your kitchen will fill with smoke and then after that your ok They fit the application very nicely and they work quite well

Some QA Concerns, But Good in the End
Had to order these twice. First ones came with bent prongs and a popped-out center medallion on one of the burners that I couldn’t get back in, so I sent it back and requested a replacement. Second set was much better - fit my GE range perfectly and seem to work great. Excellent value over OEM parts or even off-brands available at Home Depot - this pack of 4 burners is as much as a single off-brand replacement at Home Depot. I also appreciate the fact that the small burners have one additional coil compared to OEM Calrod burners, meaning there’s more burner in contact with the bottom of the pan. They look good, too. Note that they come with some kind of oil coating on them that burns off on first heating. I suggest running the burners on high with the fan on for a couple minutes after installation to get rid of it - I wouldn’t want that smoke coming into contact with any food I’m cooking.

Cooking is now not time consuming.
Very happy with the product. It works great. I recently moved to the apartment and they had this new stuff with sensi temp bunner which turned at the certain temperature and it took very long to turn on so it messed up my cooking and it was very time consuming. I bought this coil and it fits perfectly and working great so far. Highly recommend.

I moved into my new apartment and had sensi temp burners and they sucked , I don’t know if its for safety reasons but I hated them and needed to replace them so I did with these and it’s been such a difference! If you’re having the same issue this is the answer! My food cooks wayyy quicker and it gets HOT unlike the sensi temp that turns off and on, low and high, while you cook even if it’s turned up super high. They fit perfectly except one of the small ones but with some use it ended up staying in the little gap, because at first it would just pop up if it wasn’t being used even after being pushed in completely but other than that gold. I definitely appreciate these .
