MPM1788 Men's Black CE Approved Armored Riding Hoodie Sweater w/Aramid by DuPont Fibers

Very comfortable riding jacket!!! I had leather but it wasn’t really my style so this hoodie was a great option for me! It’s a little on the snug side I should have gotten bigger but I still love it!!! NOT THE WARMEST!!! Been around 50s lately in the mornings and I still get a little chilly! Pockets are a little shallow but there are 2 on the inside! Seems to be very durable but haven’t put it fully to the test (hopefully never will!) but for what I spend it is worth every penny!!!

Its a black hoodie with 1/2" thick flexible pads stitched into the elbows and shoulders but its loose enough to be comfortable and warm. Its like a nylon jacket inside, so it is heavy and warm and water resistant. It also comes with an optional/removable spine protector that slides into the back vertically. Its like a 6 inch wide, half inch thick flexible pad that slides up in a velcro pocket that goes from shoulder blades to mid-lower back. I paid like 88 bucks on clearance. Very worth it. Fits well. I got a 5x because they said it runs small and I usually wear a 3x but there is plenty of room. Its not tight or anything and I have a 54" chest so it is very true to it's sizing. I think it says 56. I have another one coming tomorrow in the flannel variety. As far as washing, it says hand wash with like colors on cold, but I think I will just wash it separately on a gentle cycle. Nobody is hand washing their clothes like it's 1940. Drying, I might have to hang dry by fan until mostly dry and then tumble dry with no heat for the wrinkles for the last 10 minutes since those foam pads are in there. They will probably melt in the dryer or at the very least, twist around or make a polyurethane oil stain or something if put in a hot dryer for a good duration. Anyway, its warm, heavy, fits well, if not slightly loose like a hoodie should and the pads are not bulky enough to bother you. They are thin and flexible. I do notice that the back of the shirt length shortens a bit once that back pad is inserted.

This jacket is very comfortable, and had good, not great , but good ventilation. Im about 197lbs 6 feet and I got the XL , I got plenty of room for layers. The armor padding is standard but it looks like you're not wearing any, you don't look bulky or anything. which is definitely a plus. It also came with the back padding, don't know if it be good for anything but I'll take all the protection I can get. I'm not very confident about the lining material in the inside of the sleeves. And I don't like the plastic zipper, they don't feel as secure as the metal YKK ones. But so far its been great. Good price, could use more pockets like their other products. but at this price its understandable. I don't know if id buy it again, but for the price I'd recommended.

After a month of use 7 days a week even in the California heat I’m happy with it. It breathes really well and I stay pretty cool in it. I probably wouldn’t like it in cold weather I’d definitely wear another sweater or jacket. I’m 5”10 165lbs and I wear a large and this large fit me exactly like a normal hoodie. It’s not bulky at all, it honestly looks like a normal hoodie even though the pads are pretty thick. Oh mine came with the back pad even though the ad said it didn’t. My buddies complain that the pads will move in a crash BUT they seem to be there more for the impact so you don’t shatter your elbows or smash your shoulders and I think they’ll work pretty good for that. It’s the Kevlar lining that’s going to help with road rash. I’d recommend this sweater. It’s an affordable and pretty good quality piece of safety equipment.

Good hoodie. Nice armor. Very comfortable fabric. Way too short. I’m a big dude 6’ 280. The hoodie is way bigger around than it gives for length in the torso and sleeves. Not super happy with that but over all it could be better.

Sizing guide is true. I'm 5'10* and about 180 lbs. Ordered the Large and it fits great, just like a regular hoodie would. Came with the spine armor even though they say it doesn't, so that was cool. Kind of thin so wear base layers for the cold, better for warmer temps. Armor is thick and covers large areas. Hard to tell it's armored just looking at it when worn. Soft and comfortable. Left pocket inside pocket is large and can fit lots of stuff. Right inside pocket in kind of small, I use it for my registration. There's a little vertical pocket inside the right outside pocket that I can put my keys or phone in if I squish it in there. Hood covers my head great. Good looking jacket, definitely worth the cost if you're just starting out and don't want to break the bank before figuring out if it's something you want to do.

Love this zip up hoodie. Armor sits where it should. Comfortable and non restrictive. It’s my go to before it gets too cold

Similar to another Milwakee Leather jacket that I purchased, this will probably be a good fit for you if you're built like a tank - I bought a large, and it had the appropriate sleeve length, but the chest area was probably the width of a 2XL, and the length of the torso was more equivalent to a Small, but the waist was still quite large. The material seemed to be of decent quality, and didn't give the impression that the black would fade like a normal hoodie would. Although it included the back armor piece, I felt like the pockets were lacking a little functionality that other brands offer - like zippered front pockets.

Excelente hoodie. Es muy cómoda y protege bien del frio moderado, creo que funcionara bien para las noches de verano húmedo en donde vivo . Compre talla L, mi estatura es 1.77cms y mi peso es 89 kgs. y me queda perfecta, tal vez un poco ajustada, pero muy poco. Los materiales se ven de calidad y durables, pero creo que si va a perder su color con varias lavadas. No viene con protector de espalda y las protecciones de hombro y codos son para uso urbano, nada especial. Por el precio me parece que es una muy buena compra.

I returned it due to the fit but will likely get in another size in the future since it was very nice material and seemed to be good quality.

Love it. Fits well, seems well made. Great for the warmer days when I don't feel like leather. Handles rain well if your caught out for half hour or so home. ONLY complaints: No provisions for belt-loop tethers. Not the end of the world, but would be nice on the higways. And the sleeve lining sticks like duct-tape with even a light sweat. Makes it a little annoying to pull the sleeves up. Would buy again

Buena para la ciudad si quieres ir cómodo y y con un buen grado de protección., la calidad es buena las protecciones certificadas y el kevlar te hacen sentir mal seguro sin comprotmeter la comodidad y el estilo. Buena para ciudad a temperaturas templadas.

He tenido algunos inconvenientes con la marca respecto a las tallas siempre vienen demaciado grandes, Pero este producto fue ideal me queda justo a la medida mido 1.76 y peso 80 kilos la calidad es media y las protecciones no son lo mejor, creo que el producto está pensado para viajes en ciudad y velocidad moderada
