Christmas is coming and my little grandsons (age 3 & 6) are getting a tent from their mom. So my job was to find sleeping bags and foam mats for them. In my search, I came across these beautiful marshmallow roasting sticks and couldn't resist. What do I love? 1) The telescoping handles. These forks pack into a nifty little pouch that is about 6" x 11". but they extend to a nice safe 33.5". easy to store, easy to transport, easy to extend the sticks to full length and they are sturdy at full length. No wobblies. 2) There are safety caps on the prongs, which are not "sharp" but they are pointed. so again, safe to transport and store. 3) color coded handles. as in "I get yellow!!!" "I want blue!!" instead of "hey, that was MY marshmallow!!" 4) when the sticks are extended, the forks can be rotated easily without having to turn the whole thing. Let's see if I can explain this one. See the black piece just above the handle? well, when you first take the forks out of the pouch, the handles spin and they feel unsteady. But once the forks are extended, the handle no longer spins. Instead, you can hold the handle with your hand and rotate the fork by turning the black piece. I know, that seems like a small deal, but it's actually pretty cool. I'm thinking of that three-year-old holding his marshmallow over the fire pit a little too long. Mom could reach over and turn it for him to brown the other side without taking the stick out of his hand, or heaven forbid, touching his hand and interfering with his process. You know kids. 5) the prongs themselves are 3" long. Plenty long enough to toast, oh, 4 marshmallows at a time... or three hot dogs, if you are really in a hurry. But don't. Enjoy the moment. All said, I can't wait to see their faces when they open up this gift. I need to make sure we have a fire going so they can try them out immediately.

Used them this past weekend camping with the nieces and nephews. They worked great, and the kids loved them! They each got to pick out the color, and even the little one had no problem rotating the fork on his own. Thinking about getting a set for my sister so she can use them with the kids when they go camping. Definitely substantial, and heavy duty enough to roast either a marshmallow or brats without worrying about them falling off. Still light enough for the kids to use them without any issues. They extend out far enough that you don't have to worry about the kids being too close to the fire, unless you are one of those overprotective helicopter parents that think anything within 5 feet is too close. In that case...lighten up! :) I noticed some complaints from people on these type of sticks that they feel loose going into the handle. They are supposed to feel that way, it is how they rotate. The metal goes all the way through the colored handle, and secures on the end so the metal part can rotate. You are buying this feature, don't complain about it! Overall, would highly recommend! The kids and adults will love them, and the telescoping feature is great!

These are really nice. Purchased for a family reunion. Huge hit. Extendable, they twist, easy to clean, and nice storage bag. Purchased additional as gifts.

These things have a bunch of 5 star reviews for a reason. I bought these for a upcoming camping trip and used them to make smores - they worked beautifully. I have seen some people bring up some questions about the product I want to address: - Do they get hot? They are metal and the ends do get hot if u leave them in the fire for a while, however, they do not get overly hot. I did not find the heat spreading down about 1/2 of the metal part (meaning the parts close to the handle were not hot at all). The tips get hot but they cool down quick and it was not a issue to me. - Length too long or too short? These are perfect length for me. I could sit in my camping chair next to the fire without getting blasted and still do my marshmallow with ease. I have no complaints about that. - Size / stability They are strong enough to easily roast a hot dog or two on one stick. You can also easily do up to four marshmallows on one stick if you want. I was satisfied with the strength and size of the prongs. Overall I would recommend these to anyone. If I had to make a criticism I would say that the logo on the handles of my sticks are not nice and even like in the picture and aren't perfect - not a big deal to me at all.

These are great for family campfires! We had 6 kids ranging from 4-14 using them with the help of adults and they were perfect. The ends are sharp enough for marshmallows but not too sharp where I was worried an about anyone getting cut. They are very easy to clean and look brand new still. The telescoping feature makes storage a breeze. I love the different colors so that everyone keeps track of their own. They feel substantial enough I feel like they should last.

Good little marshmellow roaster! Could easily be used for hotdogs or other things. Easy to use, sturdy, easy to clean, compact. Great that it comes with a carrying case to toss it all in your camping supplies and not have to search for all of the sticks.

Does the job well. Varying colours actually serves an important function--they make identification easier, which is nice when you're looking for your stick among several others leaning against the fire. Comes with a little zip-pouch for storage, which is helpful. CAUTION: After use, LET THEM COOL DOWN FULLY before you put them back in the pouch. If they are even slightly warm they melt a hole in the material pretty fast.

Great product, but every single time product has been shipped using Dragonfly/Intelcom, they say there is an address error even though the address is fine for Prime/FedEx/UPS etc. Apparently the problem is with their own GPS system. If I know that Dragonfly will be used for shipping, I would cancel the order rather go through the delivery hassle.
